We had a wonderful time in the beautiful old town of Aix-en-Provence and we were so happy to return to our super comfortable and very clean hotel room every night. We appreciated the robes and slippers, the comfortable beds, the overall elegance of the hotel, and the friendly staff.

Great little hotel, very central with friendly and helpul staff. Nice breakfast and bar. Quiet and clean. If you have a car and are uncomfortable driving in very, VERY narrow streets, leave the car in the nearby parking garage Parc Mignet, only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

It was well located. The waiters and receptionists at the front desk were great at offering suggestions about interesting things to do. The only complaint I have is that the bathrooms were too dark.

The location is very convenient to access restaruants and shopping. However, if you have a room facing the street, it can get noisy at night if the window is open. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful!

Staff and location were excellent! However, access to the property was difficult and stressful. We stayed there for 11 days and drove around Provence most days. Our return trip always caused anxiety because of bollards not always working properly. There should be easier access to the hotel which was in a great location.

Spa was very good for our massages.
Glad we didn’t try hotel parking- too complicated.
Instead we used Park Mignet, as we were in and out several times a day because we had friends out of town and did several day trips.
Not your fault, but the mistral was more than we expected.

Jan 24 - excellent location in the heart of the beautiful city - great well appointed room, dog friendly and nice breakfast - access by car is a bit tricky as you have to get past the city traffic free bollards, but ok, will stay again

Nice room. Nice lighting. Great restaurants all around. The location is cut off from normal motor traffic so that makes it impossible to get Uber so keep this in mind. Chairs were a little wobbly. We had the “Do Not Disturb” sign posted and the staff knocked anyway before 9am. When we came outside the DND sign was gone. We told the front desk manager later and she said it was a mistake they made. Annoying. Most front desk staff was friendly and helpful except for one seemed to be unhappy to be there and never smiled. She was communication-challenged and had to get very simple things or questions explained to her 2-3 times. Her boss seemed annoyed with her and finally took over.

Wonderful Hotel. Everything about it was top notch.
The only exception is what others have said...it. is a nightmare to get to by car but I wouldn't ding the overall quality and value of this establishment. Be prepared to be confused beyond belief as to how to get to it. Because it is in the foot traffic area only, you will need to use the call boxes at the street baracades for security to lower them for passage and entry to the area the hotel is.

This is centrally located but very difficult to drive to. Almost impossible as it sits on a pedestrian street. The rooms are renovated and fine. The halls feel pretty dingy.

Highly recommend! Perfect location on Cours Mirabeau. Staff very willing to help with booking our train and renting electric scooters. We had the least expensive room, which was beautiful and spacious, with excellent storage for clothes and toiletries. Very walkable to restaurants and shops, right in front of the pedestrian street which has a market 3 days a week.

Rooms are surprisingly quiet given all the activity outside....and good value for the cost. Daily housekeeping was nice and front desk staff very friendly and helpful with dinner booking and tour reservations.
Only negative is the parking is very challenging to access...not simple to get in or out of and need to call front desk to allow access to streets.

Hotel was just the right size, in the center of many activities such as the markets, dining, shopping. The room had a fantastic fantastic view, comfortable beds and a great bathroom and shower.
The staff was helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately, we missed the opening of the new brassiere, which looks fabulous.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Hotel Negrecoste in October 2022. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Aix. It has a great location right in the center of the old part of Aix, on the beautiful Cours Mirabeau. We had the prestige room which had a comfortable king size bed and a spacious bathroom with a lavish tub and separate shower. The room had generous amenities including robes and slippers. I got two great nights of sleep. The hotel arranged for shuttle from the airport, and for a shuttle to take us to Avignon to board our cruise.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay in Aix. Incredible location. Difficult at first to find the parking for the hotel but that’s the only negative.

The room was small but perfectly set up to give you everything you need. Bathroom was very nicely renovated. Staff was very helpful.

Absolutely thrilled with our stay at Negrecoste. Check-in was fast and easy. Our room was large and well-appointed and we had a small bed for our son. The room was spotless and modern and had all the necessities. Great shower. We ate lunch at the outdoor cafe, and the food was tasty. The only downside was parking. There was an event going on in the street in front of the hotel, so we had to walk quite far with our luggage. The hotel is located in a wonderful area with lots of restaurants, shopping and beautiful architecture.

Was small but space utilization was so well thought out. Loved the pull down closet rack. Nice shower space . And so quiet on the backside . French Breakfast at 9 euros is good value . And staff very pleasant. We visit Aix every year and this is our new destination hotel!
