Nice staff.

Well we were upgraded to a better room #333.... 3 tv's would not turn on, at all. So we were switched to another #230. Okay no problems, understanding lady at front desk, came to our aid, but couldnt get any tv to turn on.

I stay here often. They're doing a remodel which will be nice.

The hotel is extremely nice with fantastic staff. We would go back in a heartbeat. My only complaint was our room had the thermostat hanging by the wires over the closet handle. Have two very young kids with me made it a challenge to keep them away from the exposed wires.

The door lock seemed broken and big stain on rug by bed is red but looked like makeup. Service and breakfast nice and pool warm and clean. Nice and quiet. Will stay again but fix door lock to protect guest and shampoo rug.

We were out in Wyoming and Montana for 2 weeks celebrating our wedding anniversary and our friend’s birthday. On our way back, we stopped in North Dakota for a night to break up our travel. There aren’t a lot of options in the surrounding areas and we want to make sure we get a property that is clean and ideally newer. We came across Staybridge Suites. They have higher ratings and pictures look great for an overnight stay. We booked without hesitation about 4 months before our actual date. Fast forward to Saturday 8/12, we arrived late night from our travel. My wife is 5 months pregnant, so it was important the place is clean and smoke free. Unfortunately, upon entering our room exhausted, a strong smoking smell came from the room. It was so strong that you could almost taste it. Beyond disappointed, we connected with front desk. The gentleman was nice, but he informed us there was no longer any king suites left, which we booked. There was another “out of order” king suite available but there is sewer gas coming out of their bathroom. It left us without any other options to downgrade to a queen size room, which is a lot smaller. We were so exhausted and just wanted a good night sleep, so we checked in and figured we would figure out the refund of difference the next day. Unfortunately, the hotel couldn’t do any adjustment since we prepaid through Expedia. It’s disappointing that we booked 4 months ago and came to a room filled with smoking smell and downgrade to a room type.

So easy to check in

The grounds and exterior of this property are very nice and we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio near the water feature. The dining area and pool were clean too. However, the room itself was NOT. The bathroom floor felt sticky(!?), there was a previous guest's sock under the couch and a pair of underwear on the floor behind the curtains. Also, the previously-used bedding on the pull-out couch was still on the mattress and we had to request fresh bedding. The room overall was tired and dreary and the age of the hotel was apparent in the room. Front desk clerk appeared quite disinterested in checking us in, but the clerk who was there during our stay and when we checked out was much friendlier. Breakfast was adequate: coffee was hot, yogurt station was pretty good, kids and husband enjoyed the cook-your-own waffles, the made-ahead omelettes on our first morning were disappointing/inedible; the bacon/eggs/hashbrowns the second morning were better. If the public areas were as dirty as our room and the food had been much worse (we don't expect too much at 3-star hotels with "breakfast included") my rating would be much lower.

Nice staff

Had a very nice courtyard with a waterfall and fire pit, but the igniter did not work for the fire pit so my husband had to use a lighter to light it. Not very safe. Also the door card readers on the outside doors of the building did not work well at all and we had to knock on the doors to be let in. Employees were all nice.

Great room with everything you need. Clean & comfortable. The included breakfast was a life saver.

Lots to love about this spot. My favorite was the kitchenette, with a near-full-size fridge and two countertop electric burners. The shower had good pressure and heat, the courtyard was a lovely space to hang with folks, and breakfast was tasty. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Bismarck.

We have stayed at other Staybridge hotels and loved it. Not this one. Our room was VERY dirty. The bathroom shower curtain was dirty, corners of the room were dirty, it looked like something had been spilled down the air conditioner and was not cleaned up, the couch had stains on it, the headboard had visible handprints all over it and was just gross! The list goes on. We were so disappointed! The rest of the hotel lobby areas, breakfast area etc seemed very well taken care of! We were really thrown off by the room. It was gross and if we hadn’t arrived so late we would have asked for a refund and stayed someplace else in the area!
