This is my second time staying at Guayaba Inn, and I give it 5 stars all around. Gorgeous garden, delicious breakfast, cozy rooms, comfortable beds, attentive staff... You can't go wrong here.

My stay at Guayaba was absolutely wonderful. The garden and rooms are beautiful ~ elegant, clean, tranquil. The perfect spot to feel at home in San Crist and within walking distance to everything. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Fabulous experience!

Fabulous girls’ trip to San Cristóbal de Las Casas, and our stay at Guayaba Inn made it even better. Everyone was wonderful. They helped us organize tours and reserve drivers, schedule a massage on site (that we highly recommend), and provided a yummy and filling breakfast every morning. A quick note for light sleepers since I am one, the room at the back of the property is against the street so request an interior room or be sure to bring earplugs.

We loved staying at the Inn. The staff was superb helping us in every way and extremely timely. I have not experienced such timeliness and helpfulness. We also really enjoyed staying is an upscale though traditional Mexican inn with beautiful art through out. Each evening we lit the fire in our in suite fireplace enjoying a glass of wine which was available for purchase in the room. I highly recommend the inn. It was a pleasure and delight.

The place was great and the staff was helpful and friendly. It was very comfortable and the breakfast options were very good. The only minor issue was that the tub in the room wasn’t working, but overall it was a pretty nice spot to stay in San Cris.

We did not have consisting hot water. Our shampoo and conditioner never got replaced. I could never get a washcloth. The worst part was that there was no heat anywhere in the building.
Everyone was very friendly. The breakfast was very good but the coffe very weak.

Everyone was amazing. The room is spacious, the bed very comfortable. We loved the living area with the wine cellar and the fireplace. It was such a romantic stay!
The bathroom was also great to relax in the tub after long day of walking around. I can’t say how much we wishes we could have stayed longer

Este lugar sobrepasó nuestras expectativas! No está localizado en el centro de san Cristóbal y batallamos para encontrarlo, pero creo que fue mi gps. Sin embargo, este lugar está hermoso!! Nuestra habitación estuvo increíble! Me encantó el toque de la tina! El patio está hermoso. el desayuno está incluido y es un desayuno completo, calientito a la orden, y muy rico! Tienen muchas opciones de desayuno para escoger. Me volvería a quedar aquí definitivamente. El servicio es excepcional!

Having traveled to many beautiful places all over the world, I can honestly say that Guayaba Inn has been one of my very favorites! My husband and I loved EVERYTHING! The room, grounds, staff, breakfast, location couldn’t be better. It really is a quick walk to city center, but there are taxis passing constantly at all hours for $2 US. This is such a beautiful place and I can’t wait to return. Thanks for making our trip more than special!

We had an amazing stay at the Guayaba Inn! The staff is really excellent and made us feel like family. They helped books tours and arranged travel back to the airport. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was always delicious and the restaurant has was just really cool, located in their garden. The hotel is located on a quiet street that was about a 5-10 minute walk from Camino Real de Guadalupe which is where there are a ton of restaurant and bars. We would definitely stay here again when visiting San Cristobal.

This hotel was so awesome. The service was outstanding!!!! The fireplace in the room was so nice and romantic and they even came up and lit it for us and as the room heated up they came up and turned it off for us. The bath tub was so amazing, you can stay in it for hours because when you start out its hot hot hot and then as you sit there it cools off which allows you to stay in, I loved that about this tub. It was our anniversary and they delivered us a bottle of wine. We are vegan and they went out of their way to make sure they prepared us something we could eat. They went above and beyond in terms of their service. The price is a little more than you would normally pay but it was worth every peso.

This is an amazing boutique hotel. One of the best I've ever been to. The room is spacious and the free breakfast is excellent.
Also, for the size and excellent quality, the price of this hotel is a great deal. It's a 5 or 10-minute walk to the city center, but it's across the street from the best museum in town, Na Balom.
I loved the location. I've stayed in the city center a few times and it's always been noisy. Once I booked a room for 4 nights and left after 1. The bars go until 4 and blast the music all night.
So, Guayaba is in a great location if you actualy want to sleep at night. Plus, it's an amazing hotel with very friendly service. I highly recommed this hotel!

From the moment we arrived, the very pleasant and efficient staff took care of us like family and the meals were worthy of four stars. We had to leave at 5AM and the staff volunteered without asking to provide us a box lunch for our travels.
