We had a lovely stay at Anatoli Apartments. Right from the start, we were greeted with friendly faces, you get a proper feel of Greek culture and food. The hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from the beach and has lots of shops, cafes and restaurants around the corner. Beautiful location and great family run business. We will definitely we returning.

This a really lovely family run hotel just minutes from the beach, and close to both the nightlife and villages, so it's the perfect location. The family and staff could not be more welcoming and will definitely ensure you have a good stay. We met people who had been going there for more than 20 years, which says it all really. The food and drink at the restaurant are some of the best we had, and it's definitely worth eating there on the Greek night. There's a really easy going atmosphere around the pool and bar area, and you're guaranteed to have a good stay here.

decent budget accommodation and very clean but basic, The rooms and balconies have no privacy whatsoever as they are so close together. Massive problem is the noise from the large groups of Dutch teenagers with their shouting and playing loud music until 1.00am after this they go out and return at 5.30 am and the shouting carries on until 7.30am.

Outdated, very small bathroom, very old furniture, insects inside (ants invading garbage bin). Noise from hotels nearby (music, entertainment until late hours). Did not enjoy the stay.

BECAUSE OF THE unacceptable situation of the rooms,hearing other guests talking & other noise was unavoidable. LOUD MUSIC FROM the Bar/Taverne was heard all night. I asked to lower the volume at 2AM several times but it wasnt done unless one asked. LOUDSPEAKERS BLARED FROM the huge hotel directly next door and from the back hotel. Announcements & commentaries were heard consistently during their adult events & childrens activities. MAIN ROAD TRAFFIC NOISE from buses etc was heard at night when other sounds were not as audable. This road was not seen because it was hidden visably by the hotel directly in back. This main road was in front of that other hotel. THERE WAS TOTAL LACK OF PRIVACY because of the location of the guest rooms which were accessed along a very narrow outdoor pathway. All doors & windows faced each other making privacy impossible. Passerbys and workmen could easily see inside as well as outside. Sitting at the outdoor table next to each door could be viewed & conversations heard by all above & all to the left/right on the ground floor level of the rooms. HOTEL DID NOT ATTEMPT TO GIVE ME an important Email message sent to me. After I contacted them on another matter I was told that I had received an E mail. When I asked why it was not given to me earlier I was told it came at night while I was sleeping. But the time listed on the mail page indicated that it was received 24 hours before being given to me. Gift shop & tavern were more impt ?

i have stayed in these appartments last year , but sorry to say this year if you like loud music every night then they are not for familys, the music went on till 4..30 in the mornings , every body was complaining , and i feel i have to be trueful , as it was very hard to sleep at night .

The staff made you feel like part of the family And were more than helpfull.The location On sunny beach with local shops less than a minutes walk away. We were attending a wedding and the hotel was less than a mile from the location on the harbour wall. The evenings atmosphere was all you come to Expect from crete which is warm frendly and like Being a part of a family. I did not want to leave and will be back.

Really nice staff at Anatoli. The rooms were in poor condition, but the location was nice.

Costas emailed us 3 days before our stay to confirm our arrival time. He was helpful with giving us directions and transport options to the accommodation, and even offered to pick us up from the bus stop. He spoke English well. We decided to walk to the hotel from the bus stop, since we could see it was not far. The Bar/Tavern and Store were signposted but the accommodation was not, so we initially walked right past. We found Costas cleaning up the bar which was definitely closed at the time of our stay in April (I assume getting ready for the Peak Season). Costas showed us to our room; there was an initial mix-up with our booking - we had booked a twin room, but were given a double. When we mentioned this he apologised and immediately showed us to the correct room. Because of the mix-up the correct room was not quite ready (leaves had blown in due to wind), but a lady immediately came and swept this up. For this reason also (I would guess) there was no toilet paper in the bathroom which we discovered later that night .. Costas had given us his number to phone if any issues but we did not want to disturb him so late and purchased our own. Upkeep excellent in general although some electrical outlets looked a bit dodgy. The rooms were spotless (even back of kitchen cupboards and under fridge), with one exception being the tile grouting in the shower which desperately needed bleaching. You pay for what you get - I expected much worse for the price, they could charge more.

Obviously, wasnt expecting much going to a hotel in a party destination out of season, but this wasnt an experience i would go through again. Arrived late at the hotel, to find it completely in the dark, sign left out saying ring this number when arrived. So we rang it, and shortly later a young man turned up to show us to our room. We were taken to the 2 rooms we had paid for to find one of the beds collapsed as soon as we sat on it and the room was covered in squashed mosquitos on the wall. The wifi didnt work. We contacted the hotel owners the next day to say the wifi wasnt working and they couldnt manage to sort it. there were no staff around during the days. The hotel shouldnt have been open to take reservations it was in no way in working order.

Personal touch from the family owners. Wonderful food. Able to cook in the room. Wonderful location next to the sea. Next to stores and nightlife. Loved the pool.

This hotel may be fine in the summer but I booked a room here as part of a package through expedia for a stay in March. The town is deserted. The hotel is deserted. The owner did not realize I had made a reservation but luckily showed up around 10am despite the fact that the hotel and town were deserted. Initially, I agreed to stay here because I had already paid for the room but the restaurant was closed and all restaurants in the area were closed. The whole place was deserted. Anyway, the owner made up a room for me. Very nice owners. When I returned in the evening, the temperature dropped to 45 degrees and this hotel is not heated at all. I was freezing. I tried to huddle under a blanket for half an hour but eventually gave up and reserved a different room in town. I traveled back to Heraklion and stayed in a very comfy hotel there where I not only had heat but breakfast, coffee, hot water, etc. The owners were not around so I could not ask for a refund. They did not send me one. Maybe they did not know I had left because they are not there much outside of summer. I don't know. Horrible experience.
