Our second stay here and every bit as wonderful as the first time. This boutique hotel is in an excellent location. Close to everything Chania town has to offer but in a quiet side street. The rooms are beautifully furnished in keeping with the Ottoman style. Carved wooden furniture, oil paintings and silver spoons and goblets are just some of the details. But the really stand out thing is the way you are looked after as a guest here. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for Andreas and Alexandra. Alexandra prepares wonderful breakfasts, keeps everything spotlessly clean and tidy and always seems to be looking for ways to make your stay more enjoyable. Andreas, the owner, provides lots of information on the best places to eat and drink and visit while in Chania and is always checking that you have everything you need and want. The welcome here is so warm and genuine that you feel like valued friends not just guests. We will be returning.

This is a unique historic property with large, beautfully furnished rooms in Old Town Chania. The hosts are very gracious and moved quickly to fix a water problem that developed soon after we arrived. The breakfasts are really lovely and are served on unique china and silver dishes. It was wonderful to have a large parking space but it's very tricky to locate and then drive down the very narrow lanes to the end of the road. We stayed during a very chilly period so we weren't able to enjoy the terrace and our room stayed quite chilly. I did appreciate the ability to walk to so many restaurants and the beautiful harbor area nearby. Driving in Chania is harrowing and the roads are very crowded, so being able to walk places became very important.

I really love the Roxanne suite. Bought 2nights in a row because it was so beautiful and quaint. Room was spacious. Customer service was amazing and breakfast was a delight. I really had a warm welcome here!

Beautiful hotel, excellent service January 2024 It is a wonderful experience to stay in this beautiful hotel. The location is excellent in the charming Chania old town. Alexandra is very helpful to give us all the information to visit the region. She makes delicious breakfast for us and we are treated as royalties. The room is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and uniquely decorated. The attention to details is amazing. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed . Recommend with the highest level!

Excellent location, easy walk to everything, not to mention that Alexandra makes delicious breakfast and we were greeted by friendly host every morning.

I cannot begin to describe how amazing our stay was at this hotel! It was truly such a memorable experience. It's location was perfect! Close enough to downtown to easily walk, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was unbelievable! Homemade and made to order. Everything was incredibly fresh. The owner was so friendly and assisted us with local recommendations. If or when I return to Chania, I will definitely be staying here again! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

My partner and I returned from our trip to Chania (& our last day at La Maison Ottomane) yesterday, and we’re already planning our return next year! Words cannot describe how exceptionally well Andreas & Alex treated us, their hospitality goes above & beyond anything you can imagine. Every day Alex spoiled us with fresh continental breakfast consisting of Greek yoghurt with Alex’s homemade honey/syrup, fresh fruit with chia, oats, a selection of breads, homemade jams, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee she cooks up something special on request (this ranged from homemade pancakes, French toast to traditional Greek sweet & savory pies, Anatolian plate, eggs in a variety of styles) and they cater to specific diets (we’re vegetarians). They always gave us excellent recommendations for car rentals, places to see & eat & shop, which never let us down. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. Each room has a character & charm of its own, and you can see the attention to detail in the choice of decor and color palette. There is so much space and the bed is incredibly comfortable - we truly felt like royals! Not to mention, the location is perfect, with a 5 minute walk to the old town and harbor front where we swam. Overall, our stay here was a dream, what makes it stand out from other hotels is it’s personalized service. What can I say about this amazing property! I stayed at Maison ottomane for 3 nights and would not stay anywhere else when I come back to Chania. The attentiveness to detail in the room and walking distance to old town was fabulous, but what really made this stay the best was the owners who are very gracious.

Beautiful, comfortable space. Every detail has been thought out, the bed is super comfortable, and the breakfast is incredible. The owner provides ample suggestions for things to do and where to eat around town as well, which was very helpful. Wonderful!

Always a delight to stay here. This was our fourth occasion and it feels like seeing family such is the warm welcome. Beautiful, unusual and very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was possible outside in the courtyard in spite of it being December. We only wish we had booked an extra night such was our reluctance to leave.

The hosts bent over backwards to make our stay memorable. They could not do enough for us. Breakfast was a feast. The property was tucked away in a quiet courtyard setting but only a stone's throw away from all of the action. Highly recommended.

This place was amazing! Our suite was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed. The on-site parking is worth it alone. There is a private lot right next to the building in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was homemade and was delicious! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay in Chania!

Superb boutique experience at the end of a quiet block but close to it all, for a very good price. Owner and staff were extremely friendly and meticulous in looking after guests. Owner had lots of tips for visiting and eating in the town. Room was cozy and unique, with a really neat bath/shower. Breakfast was delightful and plentiful and the cook even went out of her way to run to get something for me that wasn’t on the breakfast menu.

This was our second stay at La Maison Ottomane. After so many trips being cancelled due to COVID, we wanted a place we had been before and knew we would love. Andreas and Alex are consummate hosts and the hotel has been well thought through in terms of decor, amenities and service. We extended our stay after our first reservation, so enjoyed both The Aisha and The Roxelane rooms. Breakfast is plentiful, with an extensive selection, and a 24hr notice menu. Alex and Andreas ensure you do not leave hungry. In terms of amenities, the free onsite parking is a Godsend in the old town! My luggage was delayed but the rooms had everything required to get me through a few days. But it really is Andreas and Alex that make La Maison Ottomane such a special experience. It has lots of character and is in a quiet location but near to the seafront. The staff are excellent and welcoming. They really do take care of you. Breakfasts are a delight.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at La Maison Ottomane. The proprietors were friendly and extremely accommodating, going out of the way to make our stay comfortable (including a very early morning breakfast the day we left). The location, while a little tricky to find, is perfect once you get there - a little back street thats just a brief walk from the old Venetian harbor. Highly recommended!

This is an excellent property and is beautifully decorated. It is very quiet and has excellent bedding and air conditioning. One thing to note is that the WC is downstairs in the Constantinople Suite. This can be very tricky to navigate on a narrow staircase in the middle of the night. This is not highlighted on your website. Also, the access is very tight for a vehicle. We had a tiny car and it was difficult negotiating the narrow lane and car park.

This is a unique hotel offering a standard of accommodation and personal service that is exceptional. The property has been wonderfully decorated by the owner Andreas with many individual touches and this extends to the service provided by Alexandra. Highly recommended.
