There was some difficulty checking in as there was no regular staff on duty when we arrived. They had trouble locating my reservation information (that may have been communication problem between Hotels.com and the lodging). Both days there was dog poop on the roof over the dining area outside my second floor room window. Only one bedside table and reading light. Good bed and linens. Excellent breakfast. Quiet. Nice yard.

Beautiful little hotel in a perfect location. Honestly one of the best stays on our 4 week trip. Bed was very comfortable rooms are large and are able to separate so can have a lot of light or make dark ( for sleeping). Breakfast was also 5 star full spread with special choices such as eggs Benedict.

My wife and I had a great stay at this property. The room was white and roomy and quite comfortable. The staff were extremely accommodating and the breakfast was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The only staff I saw was for breakfast & she was very nice. Breakfast good too. When you book they send you a door code. When I stayed there were no other guests so it was a bit odd. Area is beautiful, lots of shopping & restaraunts & historical sights. I am very independent so the place as fine for me. Beautiful building & comfy suite.

Amazing stay in a beautifully renovated house in the old town. Beautiful room with ensuite. We stayed here with our toddler. Lovely garden to sit in and relax and delicious breakfast included. Such good value for money. Just minutes from restaurants and all the attractions. Very friendly, helpful and kind owner. Would highly recommend.

Lovely restored house with great modern design inside. The room was charming, the breakfast outstanding and the staff superb. Peking nearby and close to numerous high quality restaurants. A perfect place to stroll and explore old Guimaraes.

We received a warm welcome from the hosts. Breakfast was delicious with many food and drink choices. The hotel is perfectly situated to explore the old town.

It was an amazing staying at Casa do Juncal. There were only 6 rooms so it was very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is ordered the day before from a menu. It is actually a great idea so there is no food waste (hopefully eheh). The design details fit the decoration and the space.

We loved this hotel! The room was large and clean and well appointed and a great value for the price! The bathroom is a little small, but well updated. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic and made to order! The only suggestion I have is that parking is difficult and there should be instructions listed on Expedia about how/where to park. Also the hotel should have a notice on the outside of the hotel door asking new guests to knock for service. Otherwise the location was amazing and Guimaraes is the loveliest small town. We will definitely come back!

This hotel is AMAZING! I don’t have a single negative thing to say! Their lofts are perfectly decorated, the girls that work there are all super nice and helpful. I think the best part of our stay was the breakfast! Wow! Best breakfast we had on our 1 month trip all around Portugal and Spain. They ask you to pick items from a long list the day before so they can have it ready for you the following morning. Everything we had was delicious! Thank you!!! I would recommend this place and would 100% stay here again!

We just loved our stay here. Fabulous large room with lounge area that looked over the courtyard and bed that was heavenly. Breakfast was fabulous and the service was just amazing. The girls are incredible. Parked our car, carried our luggage - just amazing. Parking is a few minutes away, secure and well priced. The hotel is perfectly located and lovely. There are about 10 cats in the garden so could be a problem if you are an allergy sufferer and I did inadvertently step in some unpleasant dropping but I enjoyed watching them laze around and they disappear as soon as you go into the garden.

I can't say enough nice things about this hotel! Seriously! I have stayed in almost all of the hotels in the area and while they all have their charm...this by far is the best! From here on out, this will be my most preferred spot! I would love to keep this place a secret but they so deserve the best rating ever! Daniela was our host and she was simply the best...ever!

This is a six room hotel, where you feel at home. The hotel is a refurbished historic house, exquisitely decorated. There is no a reception desk, but a smiling face who welcome you to a very pleasant experience. The room set in two floors was beautiful, with all the amenities you may need. In the lower floor, a sofa with a coffee table, TV, coffee and tea available, and the bathroom. At the first floor the bedroom. The breakfast was terrific, with all premium stuff. In brief, the hotel is a jewel, where you feel great
