At check in, we were greeted with a very condescending “can I help you”, said to us in a tone that implied we were interpreting something important- such as a text conversation the staff was having with someone else: During this time, the person checking us in stated something to the effect of “Oh, you booked this third party, and since you did that we do not honor your room choice of a queen. You get two twins.” I explained my wife and I would prefer one bed and the staff said “Take it or leave it. For all I care you can sleep in the street.” We went to the room, and one bed was not made - all of the clean sheets were in a nice pile one the bed - and there were a lot of tiny hairs around and on the toilet - as if someone had used the toilet to groom themselves. We dared not report any of thiis after what we just experienced during check in.so we just dealt with it our selves. For what averages out to over $500 a night adding in taxes and fees, I had expected to be treated with more respect and dignity than what was offered. This was without doubt the rudest, most unprofessional hotel I’ve ever stayed at: and yes, I’ve been to Manhattan MANY times. I understand New Yorkers are a little rude, but this was down right mean. I’ve stayed at blown out old motels that treated me well. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer services and cleanliness.

Clean, safe and friendly environment. Hotel had great facilities, kids loved the ping pong table and footy table. We loved the space and how quiet it was considering it was 5 mins walk from Penn Street and Times Square. Highly recommended.

What a pleasantly surprising place to stay. Very convenient and super staff.

We came in for a concert. The hotel met all of our needs and it's surprisingly quiet.

The games room was a nice addition.

The rooms are very good and they were very friendly. It could have a better bar/restaurant like the other Even Hotel. The maintenance works only in the morning and you have to be in the room, so we couldnt use our tv and safe.

Close to penn station. Attentive staff. Flavored water. Late check out.

My greatest critique is minimal at best. Coffee selection in the room and coffee condiments in restaurant were sparse, although milk was available upon request. Excellent service made up for the lack.

We were always greeted in a friendly manner when we arrived or when we departed for a day of exploring the city. The common areas AND our rooms were super clean. Our bed was comfortable and our sheets were soft. Its location was perfect - so close to Madison Square Garden and a half block to the subway. Many restaurants within budget were nearby. Next time we plan a trip to NYC, we won't even look around for a better option. Why gamble on that when we can stay here again!

A nice hotel. Close to everything. Great staff. Carpet in room wasn’t vacuumed properly and bathroom was dusty. But overall a great hotel! Would definitely visit again.

Wonderful staff. Quiet and neat. 1/2 block from subway. Two blocks from Amtrak. 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden. Easy walk to Times Square and Broadway plays.

Loved it, very close to Madison Square Garden where I had a show to attend. Lobby was relaxing and neat really liked the downstairs bar and dining/snack area. I did not do yoga but the yoga accessories, it was nice to have the option. Staff was friendly and quick had no issues at all. The hotel room itself was clean and comfortable. Will return again 😁
