Very nice room, good location!

We arrived at the airport and caught the no.9 bus from directly outside the airport (€6 per person) to SavoyHotel. From there the apartment was just a short 5 minute walk up the hill. Upon arrival it was easy to gain entry following the instructions and the room was immaculately clean. A very large comfortable bed, small kitchen area, tv ,tidy toilet and shower room. Double doors opened out onto a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area. The apartment has good air conditioning and is regularly cleaned.
There are various restaurants nearby but you will find nice local bars and restaurants in the back streets of Funchal
Pingo Doce supermarket was not far away (around 15mins on foot) at PlazaMadeira and had very fresh groceries available.
A local bus from just down the hill from the apartment, Ave luis de Camões took us out to the fabulous Curral das Freiras for a few euros each way.
Well worth making a reservation at in town is the Infinite Wine Bar , which you have to make a reservation to visit but offered amazing food and fun service cooked by the owner. Ideal for a romantic evening in town
Lovely place to stay all round

Fantastic spot in Funchal! The unit was very clean, it was quiet and tranquil. The pool was such an amazing treat during hot days. The unit is very close to the city center and there are many great restaurant options nearby. We always got parking close by. Manager was proactive with communication and very helpful with any questions.

Beautiful property! Big room with traditional feel. Lovely and clean! Amazing property manager and cleaner, both incredibly helpful and kind! Both went the extra mile! Property is 10 minute up hill but we knew this before booking and it wasn’t a problem for us personally!

We loved Vila Toca. It was conveniently situated and within walking distance of shops, bus stops (including the airport bus) and the town centre. Our apartment had plenty of character. The balcony on the third floor was large and lovely for al fresco dining and had good Mountain Views. We also made good use of the swimming pool. The manager responded promptly, helpfully and courteously to messages. The lady who cleaned our room was very helpful and friendly. It was excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Nice place, unfortunately sometimes noisy at night and early morning. Also, we couldn’t find parking near the vila, so we had to park at the hospital, very nice parking, lots of spaces but almost 12 euros/day. It was ok, but should have been better to if we knew in advance about the parking situation.

A lot of walking up steep hill & no elevator, so not for everyone. Was good exercise. No reception person but when contacted cleaning lady she was delightful & helpful!

Great location, great view of the town. Great prop. Will return.

Location was an easy bolt ride to the main city, or walkable if you're up for a good walk. Location was walkable to some restaurants and cafes by the main road. The AC in our room didn't work, but we did not worry or complain since the weather was nice with the windows. Looking back we should have said something because it was a very, *very* noisy street next to us. But we slept just fine.
8.0 / 10.0
climate control was placed good and not directly blowing onto the bed.
Environment was noisy due to traffic ( Air pollution) during the day and sometimes in the evening due to concert agency nearby.

Great stay - v clean and comfortable room especially the bed ( great nights sleep). Small kitchenette perfect for preparing breakfast and snacks. Only downside it is, like many places to stay in Madeira, up quite a steep hill from the old town but there is a beautiful park to stop and rest in on the way back. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Vila Toca. The rooms were clean, bright and comfortable. Easy to communicate with Bruno. Our room was cleaned every second day which was an added bonus! Steep hill to get to property but you get used to it! Nice little dip pool. We were expecting traffic noises but found they weren't that bad. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for everything!

Bruno and Maria are very nice hosts, very helpful and communicative.
Nice room with a balcony and small kitchenette, one does not need anything more, spending days driving around island and enjoying its beautiful nature.
Parking is on the streets nearby, but there were always few free options when we were arriving, not any problem. Villa Toca is a good option to be close to the city but having a car for travelling around.
Walking to port and to the center is 15-20 minutes, going there is direction down and you can go through a nice St Caterina park, a way back is 5 minutes longer, as half way is up to the hill.
The street is quite noisy, you can have a breakfast or a dinner on a balcony, if you like it more than in a cafe or restaurant but in the night better to keep doors closed, until you are familiar with city rumours. There is AC though we didn't need to use it.

Great location, great owner. Everything was perfect. Bruno was very accommodating, and the staff were very gracious. We will return.

The location was very good, in walking distance of the old town. Excellent bed and good shower. Kitchen was basic, we were missing a towel and bin the first days. Could be cleaner at arrival and no cleaning during the weekend. Cleaning during stay was also sub par ( floor was not cleaned, even though it was visibly dirty, since we went hiking).

Great place to stay for visiting
visiting Funchal and the rest of
Madeira.
Restaurants, shops and seafront
are all a short walk away.
We were in room 11 which had a
balcony over looking the small
pool and sun loungers. The
balcony is spacious with a table
and chairs and a relaxer chair.
The room itself is also spacious as
is the bathroom which has
complimentary shower gel. The
bed is large and comfortable and
the room is well lit. There is a fully
equipped kitchenette, also a
table and chairs inside, a chest of
drawers. TV, hanging rails and
hangers and a safe.
We had a hire car for the duration
of our stay. We managed to find a
parking space but many of the
spacious are marked for residents
only so there are only a few that
aren't.
There is a small lobby as you
come in the front door and a
living area down stairs.
Everything is spotlessly clean and
with the exception of Sunday, our
room was made up each day
which we didn't expect.
Tiny niggle, the towels are all a bit
thin and sometimes you get traffic
noise from the road but don't let
that put you off as it's a lovely
place to stay.

Easy to find, we received perfect instructions for the door code and the keys of the appartment without meeting in person (covid). Nice location, only the free parking can be a littl bit apart (you have to find it).

We stayed at the Vila Toca in October.
We got the airport bus to the bottom of the street for €8 return. Just get off at the stop for the Savoy Palace and walk approx 200 meters up the hill .
The location was perfect as it is in between the hotel district and the Old Town with many bars and restaurants nearby.
Our room was number 20 and it overlooked the pool. The bed was huge the studio felt really spacious.
The bathroom was also big and roomy.
We ate in 1 night on our balcony as the kitchenette had all needed cooking utensils, microwave and a fridge. Its a lovely spot to sit and have coffee in the morning too from your balcony watching the sun.
Bruno the manager is available via watsapp and happy to give advice etc.
We did not have a veichle but the bus routes and frequent service in Funchal is so so good, you can get anywhwere easily and cheap.
The pool here is not heated but small so by the afternoon, it is warm enough for a dip on a sunny day. You can sit in the garden or patio or in communal room to read if in need of some shade.
All in all, very good value and great location.
Tip- Check out the little bar in backstreet under tower block. €3 for 2 drinks and watch football with the locals!

Lovely place to stay just outside the main centre of Funchal and not too far away from Old Town. Only small so felt like we had our own swimming pool to ourselves.

I absolutely loved Les Terasses!! The views were incredible, the rooms were beautiful and the bed was absolutely the most comfortable I’ve slept in in the past two months of traveling throughout Europe! Our hosts were amazingly accommodating, helped us with our bags, recommended numerous restaurants and not to miss sight seeing around the island, and just our favorite conversations from our trip. Many stairs, but so is all of Madeira! Grab a drink and cool off in the infinity pool overlooking the valley and ocean.

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior. Inside, there is a lovely hotel which has everything a traveller would look for. Quiet, peaceful, with sea view, a well equipped kitchenette, and great shower. A little hidden gem.
