It was a great disappointment staying at The Guardian and not worth the money. Not exactly a cheap place to stay. Wanted to love to a different hotel, but unfortunately that meant I had to stay for the 4 remaining nights so we decided. Not our first stay in Rome. The hotel pics on the website are not how it looks irl. Especially the restaurant area. We arrived around 6pm and went to the rooftop to have dinner. Only a few things from the menu we could order. The kids a pizza, which the described as worse than a frossen from the supermarket. I had a tomato mozzarella salad, it was okay and a tuna sandwich. I didn’t even eat it…. Made of the cheapest white dry bread. The kids a a coke and I had a glass of wine. We payed € 81! Crazy expensive for what we had. I didn’t even get a receipt - just a handwritten note. So disappointing. On top of that the guy at the bar wasn’t polite at all…. he acted like it was just annoying we were there and he had to work. A main reason to book the hotel was be cause of the rooftop restaurant. The last day of our stay we went again to the rooftop - just for a drink, and we were told it wasn’t possible. Well…. told and told, the poor guy at the bar didn’t speak English, so I went to the reception who told me the bar was closed due to a electrical outage earlier that day. What? So we couldn’t even buy a drink. At the reception there were to men, they were nice but the two ladies - oh no. Very impolite. The Guardian Hotel is def. not worth the money.

An average hotel. Definitely not on par with 4 star hotels. Tiny rooms and bathrooms didn’t have good lighting, or space for toiletries. Beds seemed old and worn. The hotel could use an upgrade.

Pleasant experience staying at the guardian for 5 days. It was a bit far from the main attraction but close to termini station if we wanted to take the train but we choose to walk and explore the city. The continental breakfast was a plus and the roof top is cute.

A great hotel with very nice front desk stuff. Fabiana and Ileana were super nice and helpful. I would have hired them to represent my businesses if I could.
The room was spacious and modern. The breakfast was great. The location was very safe right next to the British Embassy and gave you a real feel of living in Roma, not very touristy.
The AC in the room worked great which is a must for 90 degree days.

I absolutely love this place. From the staff, location and convenience is a family group’s dream. Room is enough for two parents, a kid and a baby ( I booked the family room)and it’s quite at night. Bathroom needs some upgrade but overall good.
I am so happy and very well rested. We also got to enjoy the rooftop lounge for a bit while the kids rest. Their breakfast was good as well! Bus stop is close to the hotel which is a huge plus!
I will book to this place again when I come back to Rome! Thank you for providing us such a wonderful time and experience.

This is a great little hotel and I’d definitely recommend. Location wise, it’s a little bit further away from the hustle and bustle and main sites, but Castro Pretoria M Station is a short walk away which gives easy access into the city.
Loved the roof top bar (for me, the hotel’s best feature) with beautiful views! And the buffet breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly and even gave me a free room upgrade - thankyou!

We had a wonderful Four- night stay starting with the check in. We were warmly, greeted and welcomed by Andres at the front desk. He took his time to explain all the hotel's amenities and important information. Also, Andres greeted us every day of our stay and continued to make us feel welcome. He is an asset to this hotel. I also want to give a special note of gratitude to Margarita for providing excellent service with a smile during breakfast and in the patio dining area.
Margarita also made us feel right at home. Finally, a special thank you to Lucresia who did an impeccable job with the upkeep of the room. She is very efficient and pays a lot of attention to detail. Even though her job is not easy, she still manages to keep a smile on her face at all times. Faume came to the rescue when the toilet in our room malfunctioned. He fixed the problem in less than 2 minutes. He has a positive attitude and also always has a smile on his face. All in all, we had an excellent stay at The Guardian hotel. Please make sure to take some time to recognize each individual for all their hard work and dedication. Keep up the great customer service and hospitality. We can't wait to tell all our friends and family about our experience. Until next time!

Read a few reviews on here that says the shower flashes hot and cold. Mentioned this at check in to Antonio and was totally gaslit and guess what, the shower switches from scalding to freezing on a whim.

One particular member of staff apparently called Andreas was Particularly rude I was actually so shocked. Terrible attitude when I simply asked for water. Wouldn’t help when I asked to retrieve my luggage
There’s only one lift and it’s very slow
No sound proofing whatsoever so you can hear everyone in the corridor when you’re sleeping
Breakfast is poor and totally chaotic.
There are many other hotels in Rome. Would suggest you give this one a pass

The location was great - short Uber ride to anywhere - right in the middle of the hustle and bustle which made it quiet. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Rooftop bar and breakfast were also good.
