Every staff member we interacted with made us feel not only like valued guests but as if we truly belonged. The food and drinks were also exceptional! I’m already looking for another reason to escape home and stay at the Fairmont Austin again.

Great location next to the convention center. They have a walkway with direct access however the elevator was turned off so stairs were the only access. Friendly and very helpful staff. No late night snack shop available.

My stay was really nice, and was the first time in awhile I got to stay in a really nice hotel. The only real issue I have with it is that there is no refrigerator or microwave in the room, and the beds where stiff. Besides that, pretty nice.

Unbelievable. The service was excellent, the pool was amazing, the gym was fantastic. The bed and robes were so comfortable as were the drinks at the pool. The kombucha mule was fabulous. The room credit was definitely used every day.

I am huge fan of the Fairmont Hotels, and this was my first time staying in the Fairmont Austin. It did not fail and exceeded all expectations. The room was immaculate, had everything you need and more. The pool, spa and facilities were top. If I had to make one suggestion it would be that the poolside bar should stay open a little later.

We got to our first room, and immediately as we walked in the smell mold and mildew hit us, very bad. We requested a second room and they were able to accommodate us. Second room had the same smell but not as bad. They have a moisture issue, probably due to flooring in the bathrooms as it’s LVP. Fairmont properties are typically very nice, hopefully it’s just a 12th floor issue.

Fairmont Austin is a nice, clean upscale hotel to stay at while in Austin. We were extremely pleased with our stay. They have everything to where you really dont need to leave the hotel at all. We were given a higher level room with a city view.

Trip started good and then second day the elevators weren’t down, Room keys weren’t working, air conditioning wasn’t working and last 4 plus hours. Had to use service elevators and wait in line to go up or down the hotel.

This was our fourth or fifth stay at the Fairmont in the last year and once again, we were treated like family. From Deniz and Paolina in the front to the courteous valet, in room dining, and bar staff, we always feel so welcome and are treated so well. Be back again soon!! Thank you staff and keep it up!

Place was decent. Would rather stay at the JW Marriott though. Pool and hot in were nice and everything was clean. Tv in room was outdated (no internet streaming). Online price was not horrible but don’t be deceived, there is like an extra 100 on top of that after you leave for “resort fees” or whatever. Also a 250 a night holding fee seems outrageous to me.

It was evident that Fairmont does not have a disaster plan for when systems go down. We waited for over an hour in a long line to be manually checked in because the computers were down. The elevators (except for service elevators) were down, and we had to be escorted to our room because we had no key. Getting an elevator to go down was a real mess, because the service elevators were being used to get people upstairs. Though this was caused by a water main leak that they could not foresee, they did not have a good plan for dealing with it. No offer of anything to compensate us for the trouble. We will not stay here again.

Bad experience, ac and elevators not working

Stayed during the labor day weekend with 4 other families, and on the second night ALL the elevators were not functioning due to a pipe bust on the 7th floor. Due to the pipe burst, The ac was not functioning in a lot of the areas and rooms and people were coming up and down the stairs from levels all the way up to the 27th floor and probably higher. Only the service elevator was working and that line had no end. Thankfully, it was resolved later that night, but I believe it took about 5-6 hours. The check in lines were very long with not that many front desk staff to accommodate the guests. Front valet was efficient, 7th floor bar food was awful. Labor day weekend here was chaos.

I had to check out 8/31 due to hotel failure. Elevators did not work. I could not get back to my room, for 3 hours. Then ac out, water out and I had to check out in the middle of the night. Nature, the staff member at front desk was great. Otherwise this is the most pathetic hotel I’ve ever been a part of. Staff great. Hotel itself is sad, not a 4 star and I would not recommend.

Horrible experience. Arrived to the hotel at about 7 PM to be told that there was no air condition, no hot water, and the elevators were not working. No explanation offered as to why they did not notify me sooner before arriving at the hotel. They canceled the reservation, and did not assist on helping me find an alternate reservation in the area. Upon arrival to the hotel, the lobby was a mess as well. Garbage was overflowing from trash receptacles. Empty cans of soda water and better scattered all over lobby. It was as if housekeeping went on strike. It was like a scene from a frat party. Highly disappointed.

Had a fabulous stay. The room was very spacious and comfy. The only thing I did not like was the bedding it’s summer time in Texas, a super think duvet without a top sheet made either sleeping with nothing on top or a giant heavy blanket the only options. The hotel staff was very friendly and the amenities top notch. Will definitely stay here again the next time in town.
