We absolutely love Abbey del Sol. This was our second visit, but it won’t be our last. The apartments are cute, clean, and modern. Our apartment was exactly how it was pictured on the listing.
There is filtered water in each apartment. Linens, towels, toiletries, and a fully functional kitchen. Our room had umbrellas (which we needed) and beach chairs, beach bag, and beach towels (which we didn’t need).
The property is safe with a locked gate. The courtyard and pool are idyllic.
Our favorite part of both trips were the complementary bicycles!!! We love biking into the center of town, shopping at the grocery store, and visiting all the incredibly delicious restaurants.
The staff were very responsive and easily available after-hours through WhatsApp. The in-room binder gives loads of useful information about the local area and tips and tricks for your visit.
Without exaggeration, Abbey del Sol has been one of the best unexpected surprises of all of our travels. We are already planning our next stay - and looking forward to it!

This is a beautiful, clean, quiet property with great office personnel. Mariela, Jin and Mildred are most helpful in making your stay comfortable. The apartment was well-equipped and everything worked well. The only negative is that on some days there was a strong sewer smell. At times it would go away, and at other times it was strong. However, We would still consider staying here again in the future.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at ADS! I love everything about it from the lovely staff at the front desk, to the beautifully decorated and equipped rooms. The handmade beach totes are a great touch. The pool area and planting are so incredibly beautiful. It’s extremely clean and I’ve never had an issue with hot water. I appreciate the jugs of filtered water as well. I will book this place again and again.

Abbey del Sol is a wonderful place to stay if you're looking for a quiet, mellow, easy-going place with a pool super close to the beach in Puerto Morelos. Bonus that the staff (Marela and Jin) both speak English even though whenever I come to Mexico which is often, I try and enjoy to practice me Spanish. They're very helpful, informative, and clearly enjoy their jobs and helping people. The binder with all the helpful info and suggestions in the room was unexpected, as was the high end beach chairs and free use of the bikes as you really don't need a car even though I had a rental. I can continue with how great Abbey del Sol was, they try and make everyone feel welcome. I travel a lot and it's the little things I notice about wherever I stay and clearly Abbey del Sol does it all right. If you want to avoid the big all inclusive tourist traps and stay at a cute little Apart-Hotel in a sleepy little beach town, don't hesitate to choose Abbey del Sol. You will not regret it :)

Squeaky clean, comfortable, quiet and secure. The ambiance was relaxing. Friendly, welcoming staff and the complimentary bicycles are a plus. Highly recommended and I will stay again when traveling to Puerto Morelos.

This property is wonderful. Immaculately clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms have comfortable beds and many amenities. The location is great and close to the beach.

We loved how quiet and intimate this hotel was. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the linens and bed excellent. Guests will appreciate the attention to details! It is about a 10-15 walk to the town center/majority of restaurants but they provide bikes free to use. Parking is plentiful on the street.

The hotel lived up to the reviews and we plan to return but would want one of the larger suites with a full kitchen, good for longer stays. Our room had a great bed, and good air conditioning but as we wanted to eat most meals there it was a little crowded and dishes had to be done in the bathroom sink.
We viewed the other rooms and they do live up to expectations, as well they have staff that are always busy but will take the time to greet you and make you feel at home. It is easy to meet other guests there and several we met had been coming for years, I'm sure we'll be back. They also like suggestions on how or where they can improve and are very open.
Don't get me wrong on the room, it was comfortable and clean but a little cramped for a week long stay, had there been one of the larger rooms available our stay would have been perfect.

My four night stay in Puerto Morelos were full of peace, it is a beautiful town and the warmth of its people is felt even in this hotel. I am very pleased with their staff, they always made sure that I had everything that I needed and installations were perfect for my short stay. If you are in the area (Cancun, Playa del Carmen) and you need some peace, this is the place to go.

I arrived after 5 pm I notified that I wasn't able to arrive before they never gave any instructions that the hotel won't open the door I was for 1 hour outside trying to contact them knocking the door and phoning then they never responded. The next morning I went to the hotel just at 06:30 am the same story. Isn't incredible they don't have any staff.

What a great quiet and secure location. Everything about it was perfect, kitchen was very well stocked with everything one needs and spacious , included beach chairs and it was a very short 2 minute walk to the beach. Loved the use of the bikes which are also included with the stay and the Wifi worked great. We stayed in Unit 7 which had direct access to the roof top patio where I enjoyed my morning coffee and place to hang out when there was rain showers in the area. Would not hesitate to stay at this property in the future.
