Breakfast was great! The mattresses were not comfortable, too soft. Other than that it was a great experience. I thought the room layout and decor were great. We bought the breakfast option and it exceeded what I’d ever expect for a hotel breakfast!

1. The bathroom is messy and dirty, and the vent does not work.
2. Sand, small wood mulch on the bed, just under the comforter.
3. Breakfast food is good-looking but tastes no good.

The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. I liked the bed. It was just soft enough. There are cold water stations to refill water bottles as well. The neighborhood was surrounded by great restaurants and interesting buildings and lots of trees.

Great that they had a room for us to check in 3 hours early! That was about where the good ended, we had no room refresh the next day, after we called the desk they sent a security guard with 3 towels. Next day, to room refresh the next day until 5 pm.
Hotel advertises breakfast included until you read the fine print.

Hot water inconsistent: requiring calls for engineer to "reset boiler" to get a warm shower. By 3rd night it was better and actually hot.
Housekeeping was inconsistent . One woman was very good and did an excellent job. A guy did a sloppy job of cleaning, making bed etc.
Rooms were quiet, bed was comfortable. We alerted staff to a feather allergy and assigned room pillows and comforter were hypo allergenic at check in.

Front desk manager was great: very polite and informative, helped reassign the room for better view upon request. Some design details such as rug and bathroom door weren't first class, but the building was excellent, staff was awesome and the stay was very nice. Thank you!

We liked everything about this property. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I like to mention Dion at the front desk. He always had a smile and had a good attitude which made him approachable. He went above and beyond to help me find the nearest stop for the tram. I loved the hygiene products that were available in the room. The hotel itself was very relaxing with all the seating inside and out. The area was nice and within walking distance to downtown and restaurants. I also liked the water station on our floor.

The front desk lady made me wait for over half an hour standing there to check out. She was rude and said she had 4 other checkouts before me and the system was slow. I said here, take my key cards, I'm leaving. She told me I would get checked out sooner or later. WOW. I just wanted to see my receipt before I left but I didn't want to stand there all day. Also no parking except valet, very expensive. I would not stay there again.

The staff was very professional and accommodating. The location of the hotel key for my particular stay. I highly recommend. The in-room refridgerator drawer cooled drinks down very quickly and each floor had a filtered water machine. Top knotch.

The hotel was nice and staff were very helpful and accommodating. I loved that they had a bar/ restaurant on the lobby floor, and that each floor had water filling stations and ice machines (although the ice machine in my floor was broken). The room was clean for the most part, the floors needed more attention but I’d rather have clean sheets than floors. The shower floor had very obvious long black hairs, which made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. This was my biggest negative. The area around the hotel is ok, a lot of homeless and drug use, walking the streets was not the best experience, especially approaching dusk.

This hotel looks attractive and is conveniently located. We were dismayed to find 2 electric sockets that did not work and a shower with dirt in the corners as well as an air conditioning vent that whistled. Staff were helpful and pleasant, but we will probably not be back.

Canopy provided a convenient and comfortable refuge for a night's stay in Portland. Walking distance to the Portland Timbers MLS stadium, as well as shopping and dining conveniences in that same area. Their breakfast served from their in-house bistro was also a welcomed improvement to the typical Continental Breakfast

It bothers me when you ask for a room with free wifi, but the “company “ need to data mine your devices before you can have it. They will let you pay. How generous! The staff were amazing. The hotel group, not so much.

We expected to stay at the Canopy but upon checkin we were handed a letter and told they were overbooked... and were sent down the street to the Benson. Its a fine hotel, but that means re-parking and moving 8 blocks South of the Pearl, where we wanted to stay. Then we have tape on the ceiling (weird) and three of our pillows laying without covers on the chair... Everybody was very nice though!

This was a quick trip to meet up with my sister for a visit and Canopy was a great spot, friendly and helpful front desk staff, bar and restaurant staff as well as valet. The only thing I wish had been a little better was that the AC worked in the rooms, could not get it cooler. But overall everything was great! Will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for four nights and the room was only “cleaned” once. Cleaned is in quotes because they gave us a couple new towels but left all the old ones that were on the floor. Also they made the bed by just pulling the bed cover up to the pillows. Lastly, they left paper cups and used mugs where they were. Probably the worst cleaning I’ve experienced in hotels or motels.

Great location and plenty of parking across the street. There are a lot of restaurants and breweries within walking distance. Refrigerator in our room didn't work though. Everything else about the room was good.

Didn’t have room service, wasn’t disclosed to us on checkin, even though we requested daily room service, and were told that it would be provided at checkin. Very disappointing. Also, water was not hot when you wanted it hot.

The Canopy Pearl District is an urban contemporary hotel. However, the rooms need to be updated. The rugs are soiled and worn and need be replaced. The air conditioner never cooled the room down. The staff was very friendly and professional.

Easy check in. Valet service was good didnt have to wait long at all. Filtered water waa a nice perk. Huge bathroom. Only thing we missed was a microwave to warm up our leftovers.
