A family of four travelled to Crete and paid $1700 per night for an all inclusive package at Wyndham. The quality of food and drinks for such a high price was well below average. The buffet had barely any new food repeating the same dishes for 3 days for lunch and dinner. We also had to buy our drinks to get a better quality. Compared to all inclusive resorts in Turkic or Mexico, the Crete one was over priced and over rated.

While some reviews are negative, that was not our experience at all. We have been to many all inclusive resorts and this may have been our favourite: amazing ocean view, updated rooms, buffet options, water park. We were given an upgrade on our room - from a deluxe suite with pool to a bungalow with pool and ocean view. The pool was so relaxing and beautiful, I would say we spent half of our time there. We did the all inclusive package and were not disappointed- the options at the buffet were plentiful, fresh, and delicious. However, all inclusive in Europe is different than all inclusive in the Caribbean - included drinks end at 11:30 pm, you can only dine at ala carte restaurants if you want to pay or if you stay a minimum 4 nights (one ala carte meal is included), not all the bars include your drinks (we were at the waterpark and got two bottles of water and were asked for our room number to charge them to, which was fine), 3 meals are served per day at designated times, and there is a small snack bar- but nothing crazy. The shuttle from the airport is not included and costs €85 each way by taxi and takes about 60 mins. Everyone was friendly and helpful! We spent an afternoon in town (€8 euro taxi from the hotel) and it was even better - the people, the shopping, cannot say good enough things about the people of Crete/ Agios Nikolaos. Nothing is crazy overpriced and they are happy when you are happy! Would love to return. Thank you for an unforgettable vacation!

Nice place, but no insulation or sound protection between the rooms. We could hear the room next to us perfectly - One morning we were woken up very early by crying children in the room next door. I’m obviously not blaming the poor crying children, but the hotel for not properly sound proofing the place.

Needs to be renovated asap. Service was kind - specially the woman in the parking area amazing person and very helpful. Breakfast very easy done and not 5 star like - also food quality should be better for this standard. There was also a wedding at the time we were there people were nice but i guess other guest should be informed beforehand as this could be disturbing for a calm holiday. I would not book it again as it is mass tourism without any love to detail. However staff was nice and friendly which was the biggest plus here

Clearly the best hotel that I have stayed in my Greece trip.

My recent stay at the hotel in Crete was quite pleasant. The property offers a tranquil escape, but it’s worth noting that it’s quite far from most conveniences or attractions. If you’re seeking a peaceful retreat away from everything, it’s a good choice. However, the distance might be a factor to consider for those looking to explore the area.

A nice, modern hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Nice pools and beach access. Lots and lots of stairs everywhere though and while there are carts, they are hard to find and never around when you need one.

This hotel should not be a five start, should be 3.5 or 4 at the most

It was a wonderful stay. I loved the 2 bay areas one was safe for children and the other deep enough to enjoy a swim. All the staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to help you a very good professional front of house. The only negative was having to pay €1.50 per coffee capsule for your in room coffee machine after you had used the 2 complementary ones. The buffet was a bit of a scrum. A bit hit or miss with the cava. One day we had cava then nothing for 2 days and you had to be light on your toes to get any. Very popular. Maybe a maitre-d to welcome you show you to a table get you your coffee/tea order and make you feel welcome rather than grab and run.

The facilities, location, property that includes two small beaches and many restaurants, and especially the wonderful staff, made this a great place to stay.

It’s a beautiful location with stunning views .Hotel is very safe if you are travelling with young kids . The staff were really helpful. They couldn’t do enough for you. They made the holiday a fantastic experience for me and my daughters . I can’t find any faults the only negative comment i have is the manager who didn’t communicate well with staff or guests . There were some confusion about drinks at dinner time and the Manager never came back to staff with correct information when questioned. Staff did apologise about the situation which weren’t there fault at all ! I will highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back .

Beautiful safe quiet private beaches, very suitable for small children and plenty of dining/restaurants/bars. Short distance to local town which is also very nice and friendly and affordable

We had a fantastic time at Wyndham. Amazing hotel, great location, great food, easy parking. We stayed at the village part with bigger room and got upgraded to a room with amazing view. The property is well maintained and they are focused on customer service and satisfaction. Lots of options for breakfast. One thing they could improve is housekeeping - they tend to just clean up a bit and forget about replenishing the towels and coffee.

a relaxing holiday. Our private pool bungalow was indeed a bit outdated, but also very peaceful and quiet. We felt as we were the only couple in the whole area for the whole 7 days. Great location and helpful friendly staff. Cleaning done daily in a optimal way. Would have preferred some croissant choices at breakfast, but overall everything was fine for the price paid.

The beach is lovely especially for children to play as it is in a little bay. The spa is wonderful! I had an amazing massage from Alex and had to go back. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels for the room and the beach. There are plenty of tavernas nearby to keep evenings interesting. If you’re looking for an easy beach/ pool holiday with kids and you are not worried by the little things then this is a good choice.

The hotel is nice and has a very nice beach with breathtaking views. Front desk is very nice too especially front desk manager. The spa was great too and the Spa manager Manola Matina was very professional and got us a special treatment and was so nice and attentive to our needs . Overall it's a nice hotel with amazing brach but food needs to be improved , there is a large selection but it's not tasty ( I was told the food was great in 2019 but had changed ) So for that price you expect a higher quality of food. So it's best to eat at a restaurant at evening at Agios Nickolas. Also, for 5 star you expect some kids activities outside, etc.

The hotel is amazing. It is modern and has everything you could wish for in a 5* hotel. The pool however is too cold and hence is quite empty most of the day. The private beach, which is accessed from the pool area, is fabulous. It is perfect for families with kids. The breakfast is exceptional with just about everything you could wish for. The rooms are a bit small/narrow but well designed and the balcony is also a bit on the small side with a small table and two upright chairs on it. The pull out airer is a great idea on the balcony for drying swimwear on. The room service was somewhat lacking with our room not being cleaned or serviced for 2 out of our 7 night stay. I couldn’t work out why this happened and after the first time the hotel left us fruit and wine in our room the following day. However it happened again on our last full day with having to get clean towels sent up for us at 11.30pm despite having asked at reception twice for the room to be done. A big disappointment factor here. My sister and her husband’s room had the same problem, so not just us. Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely go back. Just get the room servicing in order next time please.

This is an excellent hotel overlooking a lovely bay with a sandy beach We had a seaview bungalow room which had stunning views The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is only a short taxi drive to the centre of Agios Nikolaos. We enjoyed a relaxing holiday here on our first visit to Crete

Maria the front desk manager was fantastic. we were given a room that was not what was reserved and she immediately corrected it. she even gave complimentary desserts and fruit platter for the inconvenience and a later check out. the facilities were great- however the room had ants crawling everywhere and the private pools at the bungalows weren’t the cleanest.

Great resort, great property and beach

Wonderful stay with my two children. Great sheltered beach for small people to swim and lovely pool overlooking the sea. Staff could not be nicer and more helpful, from the front desk to catering to housekeeping to the spa. Mini-mart opposite so you can pick up any groceries for your room or pick up any beach items you forgot to pack. Only criticism was that there isn't an animation team currently (the kids club is a low-key thing that my kids weren't inspired to join in with) and the watersports are supplied from elsewhere making it that much more of a bother to arrange. But as a mum travelling alone with two kids it was a wonderful setting and atmosphere for me and the little ones. I felt relaxed and 'grown up' while the kids had great fun.

The location, cleanliness, and, most of all, the staff, were second to none. We truly had an excellent stay.

A dated over priced hotel this should be categorized as a 3 star Extremely over priced for what it is the pictures are completely misleading is dated, with very basic rooms with cracked furniture and extremely over priced food in the restaurant

The location is fantastic, the beach is amazing ! The facilities and service were great but we had a very disappointing wifi coverage through the whole hotel.
