Thin walls, Internet, Door lock issue and etc.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of the city. Near cafes and shops, close to the sea. Real four stars!

Internet was not working at all

Nice but old hotel good overall.

* beds very comfortable * Nearby Basmane (you could take all buses to other provinces). * Nearby metrostation Cankaya, you can buy the izmirimkart (tl 5) there and use it also for bus and metro. Its very cheap (tl 3.5 is in euro 0,35 in summer 21). This price is for one way. * Price quality is really ok * Many places to eat nearby

* Breakfast not the same as the photos. Very simple for 4 star * Check in could be better (give information where and what time the breakfast is..) * Rooms smell cigarettes, not possible to sleep there if you don't smoke. Although there are signs (non smoking) people do it anyway...

Location , value and staff

Hotel was outdated but had a sense of good one when it was younger

The room was spacious with good amenities and the hotel was good value for money. Location is good. However, read my "what I didn't like" comment. There were many negative points.

1. Front reception staff was rude, very non-communicating, made little effort to understand and to be honest, did not bother to even stand and listen with attention. Looks like they were fed up or extremely bored/irritated. We requested to curtail our trip by one night and they made it hard by saying that the booking.com receives commission, can't change, blah blah. I travelled the word via booking.com and THE PROPERTY has right to change the reservation. It was even written on my booking but they were not willing. They overcharged me for about 100 lira more. Really? This is the worst customer experience ever! 2. Breakfast not worth it at all; no value of money 3. no privacy, we put 'do not disturb' sign but the staff came anyway 4. Air-conditioning was tripping and we manually had to turn it off and switch on again 5. Thin walls, you will not only hear your neighbour but whole neighbourhood.
