Horrible service

No towels in the room, had to go get them and were still damp.

The floors in my rooms were dirty and there was a damp musty smell to the towels. The staff was friendly and professional. She moved me to another room and it was cleaner but still not as clean as i would have liked.

I liked nothing about my stay the staff were horrible the front desk lady was a total bword myfriend beat me with a two-by-four well better my wife did it to me and I would never go back

Rude woman at desk. Very sketchy place and people that stay there. Dirty rooms. And they are trying to keep my deposit as well and scam me. Do not stay here

Lots of smoking smell in the room. Room was not clean. Basic things do not work.

We don't mind simple and plain but we do expect clean. The floors were sticky and our shoes made sticky, squelching sounds when we walked. When we picked up the washcloth off the counter, there was a roach inside. The bathroom had brown something on the lid of the toilet and on the floor in front of it. We are going to assume it was mud because we don't want to think about it. And we're not going to ask what all the stuff smeared on the walls of the bathroom was either. Seriously, it was just gross. We don't mind basic and didn't expect luxury in a Motel 6 but we did expect clean. The room was simple and they did have new modern furniture and flooring that was nice, but dirty. For those traveling, they do not provide the small shampoo and conditioner nor do they have the attached hairdryers. You find these in most hotels now a days so I didn't think to bring these items. If you are traveling to the Motel 6 in Lafayette, be sure to bring your shampoo/conditioner. As this was an economy hotel and one of the only rooms available during college graduation, I did not expect luxury and did not have a problem with the simplicity of the room. Is it the bare minimum. The bedspreads were still from the 1970's complete with cigarette burns and the room reeked of stale, old smoke. I am surprise that they had newish furniture and flooring but the bedspreads were so dated. Not a big deal except the cigarette burns, both large and small, were a bit ridiculous.

Through no fault of Expedia this place is fraudulent. They refused to honor the reservation made through Expedia and then turned around and tried to charge an exorbitant amount for the same room. I have filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General’s office and Expedia should take them off the list.

I have always liked Motel 6 for their convenient locations and prices. This one pretty much compares to the others I have stayed at elsewhere and everything is acceptable considering the price. It is clean and comfortable, although some things look a little run down, like the tub, the bedding… I like that it has no carpet and a huge well working TV, and the AC unit also works well. The staff are super friendly and helpful!

Horrible property. Rude staff. Canceled my original reservation because they wanted more. Bugs in room. Cigerates burns in blankets. Tried to keep my deposit because they said burns weren’t there before check in

When we entered the room and pulled back the bedding, there was a bed bug, and a roach crawled behind the headboard and there was another roach on the wall. We left, we didn't even sleep there. Left the key on the dresser and just left. There was no way I was taking the chance of bringing roaches and bed bugs home.

Misleading. Per Expedia the property states Pets stay free. When checking in was told there was a non refundable $10 per night per pet fee. Which was additional $100 plus a $50 refundable ( though I haven't been refunded yet) cleaning deposit.. This should be stated as other properties do under the policy section. not stated as pers stay free.staff did cut the fee in half but still misrepresenting and collecting extra fees without notification doesn't seem very ethical.

Very nice rooms are good sized. Plenty of area to walk dogs. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Large dog friendly. Very convenient to shopping and dining. Excellent value. Thank you

It was close to my desired destination

The lady who checked us in was very nice. We got to our room and there were no towels. She brought them immediately. The room seemed clean enough but when I took a shower in the morning, my feet left black marks in the tub from the dirty floor.

Check in was very informal. Placed in one room and by the time we drove around building front desk person gave us key to another room. All 4 rooms I reserved thru Expedia were build to my card a day before arrival Said would reverse at discharge, now told back may not clear reversal for a week or two.

Clean room and OK Bed. Quiet after dark.

There was no mirror or sink in the bathroom. There was a kitchenette dirty sink non working stove

Dirty and bugs

Based on negative reviews, I thought that the room would be dirty but was cleaner than expected.

We arrived late to check in and though they knew me by name as we were the last to arrive that was the last friendly(ish) words I heard. I was told I booked the room wrong cause we had 4 people with us not 3 (my oldest son was with us one night due to moving into Purdue the next morning) and we were staying for 2 days only with 3 of us the second night. No explanation as to why this was an issue and no information given about the room or hotel except that there was coffee in the lobby. The lobby had an odd odor to it but I wrote that off as someone's diinner. Once we arrived to our room we were greeted with a very strong cabbage/wet produce smell and it was bad and there were not towels of any kind. When my husband went to collect towels and tell them of the smell, we were given febreeze to spray as relief which only helped a little. Several of the towels had stains even though you could tell they were washed. The beds were on some type of metal platform that made a banging noise when you moved. We debated about leaving but due to the late hour we stayed and I only was able to sleep thanks to spraying perfume on my wrist and pillow. We bought air freshner the next day and the smell had dissipated somewhat so that helped and we survived the 2nd night. Our room key had to be reset twice as each time we left our room it would deactivate. I understand the definition of motel and it is meant to be simple and a place to sleep but it should be clean and not smell.

Good for the money

Hotel was under remodeling room. Even I checked in room there were many screw and bolt on the floor and during my out to dinner , constracter opened my door and moved my staff and keep open room door. Even 9:30pm they are still bumping floor and dumping many staff from 2nd floor. No TV work, no chair , floor was dirty , toilet ball was not fixed ( moving during using ) . Never use that hotel.

This was the worstg motel in which I´ve ever stayed. It was being renovated, but even our renovated room lacked a night stand and proper warm blankets. The AC/Heat unit was old and stinky and dirty. Someone had peed in a corner making the room smell like urine. The bath floor towel was no bigger than a wash rag. One of the blankets on a bed was stained with blood. The staff was nice and promised to return some of my money. As of this writing, they had not followed through. Oh, and construction materials were strewn everywhere. They were a hazard. Trash was everywhere, too. And drug addicts wondered around and were making noise at 3am. I would avoid this hotel at all cost. Motel 6 should be ashamed. I won´t stay there again.
