Overall the place was amazing. The only bad part about the place is that it was right next door to a nightclub and the walls were so thin, it sounded like the club was in the room with us. There were ear plugs but it did not help when we were just trying to relax in the evening after a long day of exploring.

We arrived a little early but we’re checked in and offered a room upgrade if we were willing to wait until it was ready. Brandon was very helpful arranging to have our bag’s brought to our room while we went out. The room was excellent and so was the service, thank you.

The hotel and staff were excellent.
At night, the surrounding area felt a bit unsavory due to the homeless people that set up nearby and around the shop across from the hotel.
The staff kept the place safe and secure. We were pleased with that. Room was clean and very nice. We slept well and you couldn’t hear street noise in our room.

The staff was easy to deal with, room clean and overall hotel clean.
The area is ok. Only thing there is a lot of homeless people though.
The parking is ridiculous you have to pay all either meter street parking or parkade meter parking, and if a minute over the time you for sure getting a ticket.
My wife and I enjoy Victoria, but I probably do better research next for different hotel. Will give a 3.5 because of the area and parking issues.

The hotel is quite clean and the staff are pleasant. It's conveniently located near various amenities. However, I find it disappointing that the air conditioning unit partially obstructs the window, thereby hindering the full view of the outside.

Great staff and overall very clean. neighborhood a bit sketchy just a few blocks away but never felt threatened.
Good restaurants nearby. Elevator quite slow but that is my only real complaint on the hotel. Valet service also very good.

The rooms were clean and quiet; the staff was friendly and helpful; the food at the Ruby was very good. The one issue I had is that they did not have an alarm clock in the room.
The location is very conveniently located close to Government Street. If you head in the other direction, towards Douglas Street, it seems a little sketchy.

Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Hotel is not on the water but in an excellent location to dowtown shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. Only thing I would change, keep your nice coffee machine open 24 hours. Hours it is open are when most people don't drink caffeine and/or want to fill up with a sweet heavy drink. Otherwise, a great stay!

The location was really convenient and was centrally placed near a variety of restaurants and shops that could easily be walked…The staff were also really pleasant and provided great service!

Thank you to the friendly staff especially to Hallie. Everyone was friendly and professional. Room was clean and quiet. Beds comfortable and clean. My only suggestion is to provide slippers. Food was awesome in Ruby, great servers and attentive.
