I didn't spend much time in my room, as I checked in late at night (11:30 pm-ish). Door was locked, which is fine with me when I'm inside, but had to ring the doorbell multiple times to get in. Minor inconvenience. Room was clean, bedding seemed clean, and the bathroom was better than a lot of hotels I've stayed in.
I might try the hotel next door next time, just for compariaon, but this is a decent, affordable hotel for a night or 2. Great for quick work trips.

The Sleep Inn was terrible. One of the reason why we booked this place was because of the indoor pool which when we arrived wasn’t an indoor pool. The place was not very clean and one of our friends had to request for another room because it smelled and had flies in the room. I never been to a place where they place the coffee maker inside of the restroom. The furniture in the room was very old and disgusting. We went down for breakfast and my husband was eating yogurt and he said that it tasted funny and we realized that it was expired. I would not recommend this place to anyone and wish I could get my money back from this place for false advertising and we wanted to talk with the manager and they kept telling us that the manager wasn’t around.

Horrible experience. Avoid this hotel will all possibly. Front desk person was extremely rude. When you walk into the building there’s an awful smell.
The room we were given the toilet was not flushing. We only use the room to sleep a few hours.

My room smelled like cigarettes. When I got there, the window was wide open (probably trying to air out the smell). The pillows are also very small making it hard to get comfortable. I would not stay here again.

Great one-nighter for the family. We missed our connection flight, got in 6 hrs later than expected and checked into the hotel at 3am. Receptionist was very nice and welcoming. They allowed us to check out a little later so we could recover from the travel day.
Too bad the pool was dry, but the kids were too exhausted from traveling 12 hours anyway. Thank you for a great stay.

I was not able to check in for 30 minutes as there was no one at the front desk present. When I checked in to my room it was hot, the AC was blowing out warm air. The bed was dirty, I pulled back the blankets and saw red stains that looked like bed bug stains on the sheets. I found a (dead) bed bug on the mattress after pulling everything off. I obviously could not stay there but the hotel refused a refund so I was not only out the $75 for the hotel, but also had to book another hotel last minute across town. I do not recommend staying here at all.

I wouldn’t say this place is dirty, outdated yes. My check in lady was ok not super friendly but she did her job professionally. The neighborhood was a little sketchy but I didn’t have any problems. The property is pretty quiet.

Chose to stay at the property because of low cost and high reviews of 8.0. No way. Outside of hotel had weeds everywhere, indoor pool was closed and empty, washing machine in public area was broken, hotel smelled everywhere, pulled out sofa bed and found a pen, crumbs, and what my kids described as a booger on the sheet. There was no additional bedding for the pull out. There was a dirty, used wash rag in the shower when we got into our room, etc..... It was late so we stayed in the room and asked for a refund for the second night so we could leave. We were moved to the Quality Inn basically in the same parking lot at no additional cost. Although it was better it wasn't by much. Their pool was open but too cold and dirty to enjoy it.

A bit off the beaten path but worth it. quiet location. very nice king bed, comfy. nice tv. nice bathroom and shower. Gave me accessible room. Breakfast standard. Friendly owners. Excellent value for price. This is second Sleep Inn I've stayed in this week and they were both excellent.

Overall it was a good stay. Had a few minor issues (key stopped working after 1 day, but front desk quickly resolved; elevator loud and slow, but it got us up/down; they were out of juice for our 2-day stay, but the waffles were good; the walls were a bit thin...the neighbors woke us up in the middle of the night, but we eventually fell back asleep). The location was good, close to the airport, places to eat, etc. I would stay there again if we returned to South Bend.

The pool was closed by the Health Department. There was no notification to us that this happened, the biggest reason we chose this place was for the pool. The entire building smelled bad, and the elevator inspection expired over a year ago. Overall, I did not feel very safe staying there and was not confident that the rooms were properly cleaned with all the other areas of poor standing. We left the room and decided to go only about 15 mins away and find a much nicer hotel. Not worth the money especially in my case where I paid for this nasty place and no refund.

Change room twice, request clean pillows (smells sweaty), bed covers dirty. Worse part was the bathroom (coffeemaker is behind the toilet) toilet didn't work and the shower was clogged.

Check-lady was awesome. However we didn’t have an ice bucket fir ice, no remote for tv, and only 1 wash cloth for 2 people. So we had to go Dian and ask for these things. Fortunately she was great in helping us.

I arrived at the hotel very late. There was no one at the desk to check me in and give me a key. I rang the bell on the counter many times, but no one appeared. Twenty minutes or so later, an employee came in through the front door. He said he was sorry, that he had to shuttle someone in from the airport. The next day I was trying to make a local call from the phone in my room. I dialed four times, but the calls wouldn't go through. I called reception for help. The employee said he was sorry, but he couldn't help me complete the calls. The phone itself was old and not very clean. I'd say the same for the sofa in the room. Fortunately the sheets seemed fresh and clean as was the bathroom. It is a budget hotel, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Room was not in great condition. The remote was missing. The sheets were stained on one of the beds. The closet rod was broken. All but one of the machines in the fitness room were nonfunctional and there was a pile of dirty towels in there that look to have been there awhile. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful though. This was ok for a one night stay.

The room smelled really bad, the couch was disgusting. The sheets didn't look like they had been changed, hair on them. Overall the entire room was terrible. I tried to add photos. Site must have blocked it.

Loved this hotel! It was clean and spacious. The pool wasn’t working but probably got there too late to use it anyway. We were really hungry and the person at the front desk recommended a place that was great! Will stay again if I’m ever in the area.

There was very less water in the shower. We asked the property manager. He came and he tried to fix it but problem did not get fixed. They were giving cleaning after 2 days wherever in any other hotel it is every other day. So we have to ask them for towels every other day.
The breakfast option was for very limited time till 9am and with very limited options.
