Everyone so nice and helpful. Beds SO comfortable and I’m really picky! The waterfall showers were incredible. Fantastic overall nothing negative to say.

The quick check-in process. Welcoming staff and the breakfast is delicious. I have stayed at Magic Mountain Hotel three times and every time has been a pleasant experience.

We reached the hotel early and was prepared to wait but Juan was very swift to check us in. A big shout out to Jurgen who was a delight, very polite, respectful and had a beaming smile and made sure that my request was taken care of and that we had a wonderful stay. Waiter Calo during breakfast was another staff who provided great custoner service, others did not bother to come to us, not cool. Bell boy Franklin was great too. Sorry but breakfast was bland and did not have any flavor or taste. Overall a good stay because of all the reasons above except the breakfast was a big let down.

The property was just ok.. the cleanliness was a bit lacking and the property was old. The was a specific odor to the place. It could use some updates. The location was great. You could see the volcano from the rooms and restaurants, bars, shops were a walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The view was beautiful of the volcano, some of the staff was amazing but the main faces were rude and they didn’t hide it at all.

Pictures do not do it justice. Hotel was great room was just right and the cleaned pergevtly everyday we asked for it. Staff was great with bag help and setting up excursions. Location was great 5$ cab to downtown and con vienient to be picked up for excursions. Volcano is right with a great view from the deck!!! Had a few minor things with the restaraunt but still an 8/10. Upstairs there is a small patio for drinks and bar menu, tables had swings for seats, wife loved it. Could use a nice chair in the room is my only comment for the hotel. Building and amenities 9/10 but the people are a genuine 12/10!! You wont be dissapointed!!

I’ll start with the normal things that you look for in a place to stay. The rooms were clean and new, the location was perfectly situated near restaurants and excursions, the pools and food were both great and the view of the volcano can’t be beat. The thing that saved our vacation was how quickly the staff was to help without question. A few hours before checkout, our 1 year old dropped her only paci we brought down the elevator. We tried to carry on with our day, but her screams spoke to her need for the paci that was somewhere in the elevator shaft. Thinking that all was lost, we asked the front desk if they could look in the elevator. Within 5 minutes hotel personnel were opening the elevator doors, going floor by floor, and laying flat on the ground searching for the lost paci. After checking all the floors, a final last ditch effort found the lost paci and undoubtedly saved mom & dad headaches and misery and the rest of the vacation. It speaks to the hospitality, helpfulness, and friendliness of the entire staff to ensure an amazing stay! Thank you to the staff!

This is a great hotel with pleasant staff. The location is perfect for visiting the waterfall and the rooms have a nice view of the volcano. My only suggestion which isn't necessarily a big thing is that i think some of the roofing looks old.

When we arrived a man insisted on carrying all of our luggage himself even though we were capable of at least helping, and when he carried our three suitcases up the stairs he banged them up against the stairs, damaging contents inside and the suitcases exterior. After this he still insisted on carrying them himself, even though our hands were empty. Our room was clean but very hot upon arrival. It was hotter inside the room than outside, they hadn’t bothered to turn on the AC to prep the room. We turned on the AC and left it on, but the unit hardly worked. Only after 6 hours of leaving the AC on did the room cool down enough to be comfortable. The breakfast the following morning was served by polite and professional staff, but the food was subpar compared to other hotels I’d stayed at while in CR. I would have expected a bit more from this location given the price tag.

Our view was absolutely gorgeous! The complementary breakfast was great. The pool area was very pretty as well. Every worker was very helpful!!

This hotel was really convenient for a last minute booking. The location was great and on the Main Street right by all of the restaurants and bars. The AC was in awful condition and made an obnoxiously loud clicking noise all night long. The view of the volcano right outside our window definitely made up for it though!

Property grounds were really nice. The hotel check in staff upon arrival was very cold, it could have been the language barrier but the other reports we stayed at in the area we were greeted very warmly and the magic mountain didn’t seem to care about that level of hospitality. The room was very basic. The hot tubs didn’t work, were not warm at night. We had 2 nights booked and ended up just leaving after the first night. A good option for affordability but from my experience there are other options that are better in La Fortuna. Also felt like a ghost town there. No one was around or staying there.

Hotel is in a great location the grounds are beautiful the room and bed were comfortable with the exception of the in room jacuzzi which we could not use do to the drain not working and the sliding doors to the balcony were cloudy which took away from the view than that nice place.

This was really the ideal hotel for a girl's trip or even a solo trip. It was safe, convenient, good price, and the facilities were comfortable. Would recommend. ~~~~~ GOOD THINGS: -Excellent location: close to adventure, eating, and getting lots of different souvenirs, very close to downtown area (about $6 cab ride, $3 Uber ride) and close walk to a LOT of different restaurants day or night, close to urgent care and a supermarket both walkable -Great staff: friendly, knowledgeable, make you feel at home, would go back just to say hey to them! They were also very helpful on the way in with setting up airport transportation. - Very clean rooms, GREAT views of the volcano - Nice little gift shop with essential items, prices not too high - Breakfast included: wonderful perk, the food was delicious! AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: - more clothing storage space in the rooms would be nice (it was tight for two people for 7 days but they did bring us some extra hangers which was nice) - pool lights need to be fixed for night time use, couldn't do any night swimming which I enjoy a lot There were several solo travelers we met and some large groups as well and it seemed like the hotel did a good job accommodating everyone. It was a good stay.

Great service.Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We enjoyed a fun evening meal in the bar with Esteban who was a great bartender.

Great property that is conveniently located in the drown next to many great restaurants and shopping places, all of the tours picked us up from this hotel and we are glad to have stayed in the city where we can have easy access to food at any time. Also this hotel has some of the best prices for drinks and great food. Overall, I would definitely come back again to this hotel. The pool and hot tub also helped. The staff were very inviting.
