The pictures of this property & home just can’t convey the beauty we experienced. The home is spacious, clean & well equipped. We arrived at grape harvest & the harvesting team were welcoming, going beyond the anticipated to make our stay one to remember. The surrounding property was filled with grapevines, fruit trees & olive trees. The views!!! Shout out to Lilihana for taking extra good care of us!!

We had a wonderful quiet break here. The road in from the paved main road is interesting and you certainly need a robust car to enjoy it. The views and peace are to die for and there is plenty to do and see locally. A few pages of a local guide would have been helpful as many of the local restaurants never answer their phone. You need to food shop in Vila Real before you arrive as there is very little local. If you want peace and privacy this is the perfect space.

As árvores de fruto, a horta e obviamente toda a vinha tornam qualquer estadia nesta casa uma experiência maravilhosa. Muito obrigado por nos deixarem partilhar um pouco deste vosso paraíso. We really enjoyed our stay. The views and surroundings exceeded our expectations. The house is very remote and the road leading to it was very steep and bumpy but we were expecting that and did not mind. We did have some communication issues with the hosts prior to check-in. We did not receive any check-in instructions or communication in the days leading up to our stay despite several attempts to reach out. We ultimately had to google to find a phone number after we arrived at the property to gain access to it. Once we reached them, they said they were having email issues. They were very responsive by text after that, providing information about the closest grocery store and a few restaurant recommendations. They also gave us a bottle of wine for our troubles and it was fantastic. Overall, a great place once we got through the check-in issues.

We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta do Poeira. It is truly more wonderful in person than pictures or descriptions can share. This is one of the best vineyards in the region with stunning views! We spent 3 wonderful nights here. The kitchen is well equipped to cook at home, the pool is amazing for the daytime, and 3 comfortable rooms for 3 couples. The winding dirt road driveway is not for the faint of heart though - it is quite scary to take especially at night! We ended up not leaving the house much and we were glad we had stopped at the Jumbo before arriving and arranged a private chef. Do not hesitate to book this property - it was the highlight of our entire trip to Portugal!

We had a lovely week at this quinta home. Fantastic house with scenic views around. Its location in the middle of a vineyard in a lovely part of the Douro means that it was peaceful (occasional noise from friendly vineyard workers) and restful. House and Kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed finding out about the winemaking and then a delicious wine tasting with Barbara. A winding 15 mins drive to Pinhao for some good eating options and Douro boat trips and a 30 mins drive to the city of Vila Real.

Visiting the Douro valley for the first time, we were stunned by its beauty and the kindness of its people. The villa was the perfect location - you're enjoying a wonderful view in the midst of a vineyard, with a garden of orange, cherry and olive trees. The house itself is very tastefully decorated, spacious, clean and fully equipped. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. It's the perfect accommodation for those seeking to relax, enjoy and explore the Douro valley.

Wij zijn vier dagen met z´n zessen op Casa da Quinta do Poeira geweest. Een prachtige verblijf op een werkend wijnbedrijf. Heerlijk genoten van de mooie uitzichten, wandelingen over de wijngaard, de sinaasappelsap van de sinaasappels die wij achter de keuken in de tuin plukten en de verse kruiden en citroenen. Wij hebben ook nog een rondleiding gekregen door de wijnmakerij onder het huis en naast het huis. Het huis is mooi ruim ingericht en vanuit de woonkamer is een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei. De villa is afgelegen en dat is zowel heerlijk rustig als ook ver weg van voorzieningen. Zorg dat je voldoende voorraad meeneemt zodat je niet iedere dat boodschappen hoeft te doen. Wijn kopen is niet nodig. Je kan (tegen betaling) de eigen Poeira wijnen gebruiken. Die smaken zeer goed.

Casa muito bem decorada e confortável, inserida, a meia encosta, numa quinta duriense. A adega está mesmo encostada à casa, e foi muito engraçado participar nalguns trabalhos de vindima. Recomendo pequenos-almoços e outras refeições debaixo da laranjeira :-) Piscina top!

This was our first time in Portugal and hopefully it wont be the last. The house was better than expected, spacious, clean and beautifully furnished and very well equipped, this place is obviously loved. It's absolutely the perfect villa for a family holiday.
