The hosts agreed to a slightly early check-in for one of our party who was feeling unwell, the sitting room was nicely decorated & comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped & there was a separate conservatory to sit & eat. The bedrooms were of a good size with two “grown-up” rooms & two rooms better suited to children with beds pushed up against the wall. There was a lockbox containing the keys that made for smooth entry once the hosts sent us the code (they said that it should have been sent automatically the morning of check-in but unfortunately that message wasn’t delivered so we had to contact them to ask for it).

The cottage wasn’t cleaned to a satisfactory standard. There were hairs stuck to the wall in the downstairs shower & the dining table in the conservatory had crumbs & splashes on the top. We didn’t need to use the high chair luckily as it was very dirty. The hand towel in the upstairs bathroom didn’t look clean but may have just been old. When we arrived there was an issue with the tap in the upstairs bath which meant that it wasn’t useable. The hosts were abroad which meant that they were unable to speak on the phone so communicating wasn’t as smooth as it could have been.

4 bedrooms are really great for family trip.

The property was at the end of a quiet cul de sac just out of town (within walking distance). There was lots of shops close by and it was a good base to explore the surrounding areas. The property was well equipped and we had an enjoyable, comfortable stay.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like about the property, the only suggestion I would give is it would be nice to have a mirror in each of the bedrooms as getting ready with teenagers and not many mirrors can be a nightmare 😁

Very easy to gain access

The curtains didn’t match the size of the windows and the Curtain in our bedroom was on a wire with gaps and daylight doing through. The living room curtain weren’t fit to size. No cleaning products or loo brush and not enough toilet roll left. The property was clean but needs a bit of TLC especially the garden.

Close location to Alton Towers

Spacious rooms, including the kitchen, living room and dining area. Exceptionally clean, and an equipped kitchen with ease for us to cook for 7. Easy to find and easy parking for two cars. There is a large coop a 5 minute walk away that has everything you need. Quiet location and after our busy day at Alton towers (just 20 mins away) it was a great find. Communication with the owner was great leading up to our stay, which made everything perfect.

I don’t have anything that we didn’t like, just one very small suggestion…… some hooks on the doors for towels and coats would be fantastic.

Could use a long mirror in the bedroom. (We were staying to attend a family wedding.) Extra pillows.... Or plumper ones.

There were lots of cobwebs around and long legged spiders creating them, looked like they'd been there a while. The metal bed squeaked every time you moved so not a great nights sleep unfortunately

Great location, short walk to town centre. Clean with very good facilities.

It was bigger enough, but wasn't happy that bins weren't empty when we got there,smelt of smoke, and wasn't any scourer and no bin bags. Beds were too low. But for a couple of nights I would reccomend.

Excellent stay, easy check in and good communication throughout the process House had everything we needed, we found the location decent a 15 min walk into town, but very steep hill walking back for those with any mobility issues

The property was exceptionally clean and comfortable and very quiet which ensured a good night's sleep.

The house was in excellent condition. The host was amazing and was helpful. She was available to help even though it was a busy holiday period. She also went out of her way to send us something we forgot which was sentimental to us.

The main reason we booked was the fact that it is pet friendly which was great! The house was very clean.It was spotless and comfortable.

Only down side was the fact that we expected the barbecue to be available as we’ve read before we booked the property. We really fancied a barbecue!
