Quiet, private, away from the fray. It was well appointed and the air conditioning was a plus. The lower and mid- level bedrooms have portable air conditioners, but they worked well. You will have to carry your luggage and groceries up some stairs but it is doable. It was clean and comfortable with a great view of the Animas Valley. The children enjoyed hearing the train whistle. The host was quick to respond to questions and very helpful. We all enjoyed our stay here.

Our family of 7 (4 adults and 3 kiddos ages 8 and under) very much enjoyed our stay! The location was ideal. We were able to access the conveniences of town in under 10 minutes (grocery, gas, restaurants and shopping), while also enjoying life on the mountain with gorgeous views.
The deck is the showstopper of the home. The entire house is comfortable in high summer with the AC on. The owners were very attentive and responsive to all of our inquiries.
The bedrooms are all comfortable. Linens and pillows feel fresh, are clean and high quality. The master bedroom is in the loft. You can enjoy the views and also the sunrises.
Our favorite eateries include boba tea from The Smiley Cafe, wraps to-go from RPG’s and pastries from La Bonne Patisserie.
Our favorite spots for kids include the beach at Oxbow Park (so close to the house!), Lake Nighthorse (Wibit tickets can sell out, consider buying when sales open in the AM) and horseback riding at Bears Ranch.”

We absolutely loved the house, the deck, the amenities, the location and the views. The owners went above and beyond in communicating and providing information to make our vacation as enjoyable as possible. We especially loved being able to bring our dog and enjoyed all that the home and surroundings had to offer. Thank you! We will definitely be back.

This home is the perfect mountain getaway! There is plenty of space and a very open concept! We spent most of our time on the beautiful deck… so huge, with amazing views!
The home owners were immediate in their replies to any questions that we had, about anything!
If in the Durango area, I would definitely recommend this home! Beautiful!

The Spring Creek property was perfect for our three generations family vacation. The house was spacious and easily accommodated the ten of us. The house was immaculate. The kitchen was well equipped. Our teens loved the ping pong table, corn hole and dart target games. The deck and hot tub were a favorite gathering place for all of us. No review of this property is complete without mention of the spectacular views from snow capped mountains to the north and the winding Animas River below. The common exclamation upon arriving was “WOW”! Finally, the owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They responded quickly to any questions that occurred during our stay and gave clear and detailed descriptions on the use of the facilities. Our family would highly recommend this property for a wonderful stay in Durango.

From reserving to stay the communication was incredible. We went to Durango to celebrate our son's graduation from Fort Lewis. We were looking for a property that would work for my 88 year old grandma down the line with enough room for everyone to have space and this fit the bill! Just awesome views and deck. We cooked out on the deck and used the hot tub and enjoyed the propane fire ! The train comes by and the whistle blows and it is just delightful. You can feel like you are up in the mountains and relish in the beauty and in just minutes be in downtown Durango!!

So wonderful, will stay again. Close to town for convenience to stores and other activities. Easy drive to ski lifts. Owner was very responsive and friendly, willing to help in all ways with anything. House is very clean, open and perfect for multiple families. Deck was perfect for lounging. This place is top notch and a gem to find.

Our family of five had a fantastic stay all around! The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of space for each of our kids to enjoy having their own room. The amenities were very thoughtful with plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner & body wash provided in each of the bathrooms, and plenty of extra paper products for the bathrooms and kitchen. The view is absolutely breathtaking! We really enjoyed the hot tub every night after a long day of skiing. The homeowners were super friendly and went above and beyond to respond quickly with any questions and immediate needs that we had during our stay.

We had a lovely time staying at this property! The hosts were incredibly nice and kind. They let us extend our stay by a few hours so we could rest before driving home. They came over and shoveled the snow for us after a snow storm. The house is lovely. The views are stunning. There are nice walking trails right outside the house and the hot tub is incredible. We were right near town and close by for skiing at purgatory. Highly recommend staying here!

Our stay was everything we expected and more! We especially enjoyed the stargazing from the deck not to mention the spectacular views. The home was well stocked and the property manager was more than accommodating.

The house itself was beautiful with plenty of room and met all of our family's needs. It is on the north end of the city while close enough to downtown yet secluded and private for you to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. The views were incredible and everyone enjoyed hearing and seeing the steam trains pass by in the valley. The owners were extremely helpful with anything we needed with respect to the house, and even assisted in trying to help with accommodations for others traveling with us who had a problem. We would HIGHLY recommend this property for anyone heading to beautiful Durango.

We had a great stay at your lovely home. There was plenty of space for our family and all the amenities needed. The outdoor deck and views were just stunning. Great location and super close close to town and activities. Also appreciated frig stocked with condiments.

We had a wonderful few days at this property! The house is super nice, clean, and in such a unique location with ABSOLUTELY AMAZING views!! The property manager was quick to respond each time we needed something and was easy and pleasant to work with. I would go back to this house in a heartbeat!

Loved staying here, the views were incredible! House is spacious, clean and up to date. There was also plenty of space for all 10 of us to have our own space and come together as needed. We had the best family vacation in Durango. The house was the absolute best!! Great location where you felt out of town, but were so close to everything. We fly fished, rode the train, shopped in town, went to a movie, hiked, went out for food and cooked at the house, rode in kayak's and went to the hatchery. Everything was so nice and easy from this location. The house was beautiful, very updated and comfy. The best views all the way around it!! Would highly recommend to anyone!!

This house was in a perfect location. Just outside of Durango so it was very quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to quickly take in the amenities that Durango and the surrounding area have offer. It was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and came with all the kitchen supplies that we needed. However, what was most impressive were the views. They were spectacular! We enjoyed spending the evenings on the huge deck star gazing and watching the satellites shoot past in the dark sky. We have stayed in a lot of VRBOs and I will say that our hosts, Susan and Robert, were the most gracious and accommodating we have ever experienced.
Communication was great. Restaurant recommendations were spot-on. Overall, it was a great experience. We highly recommend this house, and we look forward to coming back!

We loved our stay. The home is gorgeous with all the amenities as well as an extraordinary view! The large windows allow a huge amount of natural light and the ability to soak in the surrounding scenery. Large, spacious rooms allowed for our family to be together in the common areas but then also have our own personal space when needed. Love this place!!!!

This was a great house for our family get-a-way, with bedrooms on different floors it worked for us and our adult children. The view is fantastic and the location is perfect! We enjoyed the house and deck!

Our family of 4, plus my parents, stayed here for our family vacation this year. The house was very clean and the patio/view was breathtaking. Communication with the owner was fast and easy. He was responsive to any requests I had. The location was perfect. It was a quick drive to purgatory and other fun activities. I would definitely recommend this house!

This house is exactly what you get in the description! It’s spacious, very clean, and the views are spectacular! The deck with the outdoor seating and hot tub were just wonderful, we spent so much time just sitting outside! Everything in the house was super clean and the beds were super comfortable. The hosts Susan and Robert were awesome as well, they provided us with some great hiking and restaurant recommendations. We had a slight problem with the AC and they literally had someone out to fix it ASAP! I can’t recommend the house and hosts enough, I look forward to coming back!

This was the best rental experience I have ever had. The property is exactly as described, and the home is stocked with many necessities (towels, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, soaps/shampoos, hair dryer, laundry detergent, dish soap, salt/pepper, seasonings, coffee, starter pack of cream, sugar). It is sparkling clean. The beds were comfortable. The location is beautiful; just far enough out of town for it to be peaceful, but close enough to enjoy restaurants & shops. No problems at all with our stay, and communication with the host was fantastic. If we ever make it back to Durango, we would definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for gorgeous views and plenty of space, you found it here! My husband, daughter and son-in-law were in Durango for a long weekend and this house was perfect! It's an easy less than 10 minute drive to downtown Durango, with a less than 10 minute drive the other direction to the Durango Hot Springs.
We all gathered in the mornings on the deck with coffee to enjoy the silence and watch the hawks. We didn't see the bear, but we did have some mule deer right behind the house.
You have plenty of space in the house. All the windows and skylights let in amazing natural light. The beds are super comfortable as well.
Susan is an excellent host. She's very responsive and the book on everything you need for the house and the area is perfect! The wi-fi was super fast. Susan also gave us some great recommendations on places to go and places to eat. She was spot on with everything!
We can't wait to come back and stay again!

We had a great week in this mountain home. We appreciated all of the amenities and supplies that were available. The location is close to many recreational activities, restaurants, shopping, etc. Easy and quick communication with the owners. Thank you!

We loved staying at this location! The views are gorgeous, one of our favorite things about the trip! The house easily slept our 2 families of 4, and the location of the property was perfectly located between downtown Durango and the ski resort. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!

We came to the Durango area for a virtual buying market. This home was very comfortable to work in with our laptops and monitors on that big table. And working in front of great scenery was a major plus. We enjoyed the large deck with the hot tub - which was the cleanest one we ever had. And all the beds were some of the most comfortable ever. This home is close to Durango for shopping or eating out. And close to the River trail to go for nice walks. Also enjoyed listening to the train go by everyday. Thank you for a wonderful place to work and play.

Beautiful views, clean and updated property, and the hot tub/deck was a huge perk. Host went out of their way to accommodate us when we needed a few things. Drive up to the house is steep, but the views are worth it. Overall great place to stay.
