Staff al the front desk was very kind and helpful, especially Sofia who helped us to enjoy our stay. The breakfast was good.

The hotel looked very fancy but was not practical at all. Our first room was really dark, we couldn’t open the curtains without being seen even if we booked a room with a terrace. Some of the staff at breakfast was amazing someone was totally careless.

We stayed for only one night, so we got to appreciate the location only.

The sound-proofing of the windows is really poor, thus the street noise during the night is very disturbing. The sanitary fixtures in the bathroom need reconditioning or change.

Bij het balkon miste we een zitplek en uitzicht. Bij het ontbijt miste we af en toe een 'goedemorgen' en er waren weinig ligbedden bij het zwembad.

It’s a good value for money. Nothing special, just ok. Close to the coast, and many shops around. It has some roof top bar and a pool.

The room is a little tired. Paid parking. Drab and not very tasty breakfast. When I arrived at 18:30 I had to wait almost half an hour to check in. Because the only one manager was in charge and he was busy with another client. Basically it’s ok, but it made me sad after 16 hours flight. Why you don’t have additional personnel? So I waited 30 minutes in the lobby just to obtain the key.

My room was okay except for the filthy floors and see through bathroom door in a family room. My daughters had to switch rooms after 3 days of complaining about all the issues with their room, both their rooms were outdated. They tell you when you can go to breakfast, our time was 9-10 it ends at 10. The staff at breakfast is miserable and not friendly at all. The food was nothing special and cold. You have to pay for parking it’s 8 euros a day, I think a bit steep if your staying at their hotel. Pool towels must be returned to the front desk at checkout, not left in your room, the front desk! Location was good, near shops, restaurants, laundry mat and 3 mini grocery stores. The island of Maderia is beautiful!!

Very nice modern hotel in the middle of everything. Airport bus stops just in front of the hotel. Very comfortable room with beautiful view. Many restaurants are in this area. Car rental is just downstairs. We had everything we needed. The blackout curtains were useful and the window has a very good sound isolation.

The glass wall and door of the bathroom and toilet does not offer enough privacy. The room was clean enough but could have been cleaner (top of the television or under the bed, dust from the last 2 years...). Breakfast choice was very good, but on the 4th day you wish some more variety.

Nice, clean hotel, close to the shore, a 20min walk away from downtown Funchal. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooftop solarium and swimming pool. My birthday was during our stay and I was amazed to find a bottle of sparkling wine and a birthday card in my room.

our room was on the street, groundfloor, which means that we could not keep the window-door open without the risk of someone coming in, especially during the night. it also made the room quite noisy. the gym was very poor.

I was very happy to receive sparkling wine from the hotel in my birthday. It brought me joy and it was an unexpected surprise. I liked the 4th floor terrace with a pool.

Breakfast time at 7 in the morning didn't work for me. I did not understand why it was necessary to schedule breakfast so early without a serious reason. There were not many guests.

No dedicated desk or table in the room to sit at. For a deluxe room I expected this.

my overall comment would be that if the hotel aspires to be a 4 star facility then professionalism of the staff should match that and management shouldn’t cut costs anywhere they can 1. kettle in the room, which is nice but teas provided were green tea and some vitamin C tea with lemon and ginger. no standard earl grey or English breakfast, which would be the safest choice. otherwise one can be under impression that teas are from sale 2. juices at breakfast from a box. in a 4 star hotel as you state one fresh orange juice shouldn’t be that much of a problem to organize 3. breakfast has a variety of choices but the quality of food in general was average. maybe it would be a good option to limit choices but make sure that quality of food matches the standard of the hotel 4. as our flight was 6am and we got lunchboxes - the fact is nice but it consisted of a juice, banana and a toast with a slice of average ham and cheese. no veggies, no butter. I mean again I would remind that we are at facility that got 4 stars. 4. basically you are waiting for the staff to appear from back office, providing half of information than could be provided - I am not thinking about any extra information - we had to ask about wifi access. I definitely didn’t feel welcomed and didn’t feel like I received level of hospitality that would match rating of the hotel. Management has some work to do or should reconsider dropping rates and number of stars if they keep doing what they do.

A good location with quite a few shops and cafes in close proximity and in 20 minutes walk to the city centre. Airport buss stop nearby. Relatively wide selection in breakfast. Eggs, bacon, etc., fruit and cupcakes.

The room was not 100% clean when checking - dust on the floor below the table, stains on windows and in the bathroom. One (of two) elevators was not working during the whole stay. Roof bar didin't work.

The key card system seems to be old-fashioned - card had to be reset almost every day (which makes the elevator situation more annoying ).
