Very relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. We loved sitting on the large front porch.

Pretty old house, very responsive host.
AC noise and soft bed.

We appreciated our hosts' thoughtfulness. From a corkscrew to device chargers, anything you needed for an overnight stay was readily available. We enjoyed having coffee on the front porch! The Inn was located in the center of the village, yet a quiet neighborhood. Gastro pubs and bakeries were within a short walk.
I'm giving it a 9 out of 10 because it was a tiny room for two people. But then, we booked at the last minute, and that was what was available in the region.

The price was perfect for an off-season getaway to western Mass. The location is always nice and the recommendations the owner offered were very much appreciated. The room was very comfy and clean and it was nice having our own bathroom. The dining room had nice morning and evening snacks and refreshments, and the living room offered a great place to relax and read, and you can't beat the walk to downtown! We will definitely be returning!
Nothing. The owner helped us learn to adjust the heating and once we learned how we slept peacefully.

The furnishings were lovely, grand house, quiet neighborhood, provided Dairy Free & Gluten Free items for breakfast when asked.
I scheduled a week's stay. Not a single person was onsite the whole time, until the owners showed up on the last day. Mid-stay the key froze up in my bathroom at 9:45pm, which was across the hall, so I was not able to access the bathroom nor my belongings inside. Since no one was onsite I had to call the owner in Connecticut, who was unable to fix the problem as he was so far away, so he offered the use of bathroom in another unused room downstairs.
After an hour of phone calls back and forth, and more fiddling with the lock, I was finally able to get the lock to work, and gain access to my own bathroom and belongings, which included C-pap supplies. I asked the owner if he felt it might be appropriate to offer me a free nights stay - extending my checkout date by one day. He agreed to put me in another room for the extra night, but then he reneged on the offer the next day [probably at the behest of his wife] and did not even offer a credit to my existing bill. Also, because no one was onsite the dining area ran out of napkins and teaspoons, whilst the dirty dishes and trash built up.

Very sweet. Very clean. Cosy, comfortable beds and bedding. Walking to downtown. Quiet, friendly host. Great price.

Loved the location. Very close to flower bridge and shops. Everything was very clean and nice. We met lovely people at breakfast. It was quiet and peaceful there. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Great value!!!
Being from Florida, we aren’t used to window ac units. My husband had turned up the temp on it as it seemed too cold at first but we both got very warm during the night and had to readjust it. Weatherwise, it’s unusually warm up here right now though so this is a non issue 99% of the time. Hotter than Florida!
Also, in the one room, the lovely antique metal bed was a bit bouncy and one could definitely feel if your bed partner moved.

A very charming, warm and welcoming place to rest my head at night. The Blooming Inn is in the perfect location. Close enough to everything, but just enough distance to be a quiet space. I can't wait to come back!

Charming old house now a B & B. Stayed in a pretty room--Rose Room. The house has a clever code system, so no lost keys. Surprising how satisfying that system is and how much time I have spent in my life searching for the room key. Very pleasant proprietors. No one necessarily greets you, so it feels a little strange at first, but once you figure out the key code, it feels fine. Shelburne Falls is a very pretty little town, wonderful bookstore Boswell Books, a Juice bar that serves great wine and snacks, and a restaurant called Blue Rock that had memorable pea ravioli. Not to be missed, the Flower Bridge, an old trolley bridge turned into a flower garden. (Be warned--they are renewing the watering system next year.)
My bathroom was across the hall and had to be accessed with a key--key search required. Pillow a little lumpy--need to bring my own.

The location I was looking. Richard was kind and answered my questions very quickly.
A little expensive considering the size of the rooms and the facilities.

Super location for walking all around the village of Shelburne Falls, and easy location off Rte 2 (Mohawk Trail) for driving all around the region.
Great, comfortable front porch to read, sit or whatever.
Nice that coffee or tea was available all the time and a light breakfast too.
No complaints.

It was a good location and the bed was comfortable.
It smelled bad in the main area and stairwell. AC unit was loud. No conditioner, only shampoo. No breakfast was included and we never saw the owner.

The common areas were very nice and the coffee/breakfast area was well equipped. I appreciated the water dispenser very much. Good coffee.
Free on site parking was great.
The shower room was very small and our towels never dried. Only 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 people for 3 days, however I suppose I could have asked for more but I didn’t want to bother the owner so we just bought some.

Such a great location! We slept comfortably and the historic house was really interesting. Richard was a responsive and helpful host. We would definitely stay again.

Nice B&B. good coffee. simple menu but ok.
There was a lot of early AM construction noises, beeps & trucks. But that might be temporary at another time.
Also cleaning fee should be.folded into the room total cost rather than itemized.

Easy access for check in and arrival. Great communication from owner.

The Inn was very quiet and clean, the room and bed quite comfortable. We loved the sunshine streaming into the Balcony Room in the morning. We loved the proximity to the nearby shops and restaurants. The check-in and check-out process was very easy with door code linked to my cell number.
While the bed was very comfortable, the covers we used for warmth ended up being quite heavy. Some people love heavy covers, it's a matter of preference, so I wouldn't call this a complaint.

The inn was in close proximity to the lovely town of Shelburne Falls. Richard & Ellie gave us an overview of their recent purchase of the historic, beautifully decorated, warm & cozy B&B. My sisters & I felt very welcome throughout our stay.

This was the perfect stay while I was in town for just the weekend. The owners are exceptionally friendly and are excellent hosts all around (I happened to bump into them one time). My bedroom and bathroom were clean and well-prepared for a guest. It was nice using a regular bedroom and bathroom for 2 nights, as a contrast to a hotel room (all bedrooms have personal locks with individual codes so it was very secure). Would highly recommend this cozy stay.
