We were celebrating a milestone birthday with a girls weekend. We had a great stay. The property was lovely and just as pictured. The host was awesome. The house was pet friendly and the little touches were great. Our stay was just what we needed. We would go back again in a second!

Me and my family stayed for a week long vacation. We had a great time during our stay, the splash park/ pool is a huge benefit to staying here. The location is very quite with many activities and places to eat. We would definitely stay here again!

Tremendous townhouse in a great location; perfectly set up for kiddos. The property itself is a 4-level TH. Bedrooms were configurable for our little ones, 2 and 4. Our 5 nights off-season (highly recommended) were made even easier by the on-premises pool/splash pad for kiddos of all ages, for when the beach wasn't an option. Pretty much next door to the Wright memorial, and a short kid-friendly walk to a wooden pier. TH is aimed at guests with dogs (hence, Sandy Paws). We started looking for a spot in OBX some time ago. My dog passed away between booking and our trip, but she'd have loved it, as I'm sure any pup would. This is THE place to book for pups, and still quite nice without pets. Included beach cart came in handy several times :) Thank you Matt and family!

The space was good for a family to enjoy a week in OBX

We've been going to the OBX for over 30 years and our parents have lived down there since 1991. We've stayed at many places and have to say that Sandy Paws is at the top. We have two dogs and the owner thought of everything for them - even treats! The place was VERY clean, beds were comfortable, kitchen had all that is needed and the location was perfect. There are multiple public beach accesses with plenty of parking. They provide a beach cart and even some beach chairs - it was perfect! The owner is extremely responsive and so easy to work with. We will definitely be staying at Sandy Paws again!!

Overall a great stay, house is nicely decorated and had the little things needed for a week stay like extra pillows, blankets, hair dryer, nice coffee pot, wagon for beach, beach chairs, games for rainy days! The water park was a Big hit w my grandchildren, were there every day the sun was out! The pool area had tables, umbrellas, lounge chairs, and limited drinks/ice cream choices which were great! Only downside was the multiple levels inside the home, I forgot what townhome living was like!! Overall still a great place to stay!

This home is beautifully decorated and maintained. I chose this rental because it was dog friendly and I liked the mini water park for my family. I have been wanting to stay in this neighborhood for a while, and it did not disappoint! The other renters we encountered were all very friendly, and many were there with kids, so my daughter enjoyed herself more on this trip than in our 7 previous trips to the OBX. This home is as close as you can get to the water park, and the pool is clean with plenty of seating. Very easy check-in process at the home and at the pool. The owners of this property added a lot of special touches that we appreciated - dog biscuits for our furry family members, a binder with local recommendations, and a welcome bag with dish soap, etc. Parking is a bit tight/tricky on this street, but it’s doable and worth it to have the opportunity to stay in this home. The only drawback is that I didn’t think the cleaners did the best job - there were several spots that were dusty or not wiped down really well - but it was otherwise clean, and I wish we had been provided with more towels since sometimes the towels weren’t dry by the time we’d need to shower again. Overall, this is one of my favorite rentals and we hope to be fortunate enough to stay here again. Thank you, Matt and family!

The house was great. Communication was great. Everything was great. Clean and large house. Centrally located close to everything. The pet friendly atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable because we could have our dogs with us.

We had a great stay at Sandy Paws! Despite some cruddy weather, we found plenty to do in the surrounding area! Matt was a great host and was very response! Definitely recommend and will return!

The property is lovely, pet friendly and in a good location. The owner was kind enough to leave dog biscuits and answered all of our texts/emails quickly. He has no restriction on the type of dog. I limited the overall rating to 3 stars because there are no basic items, like sugar, salt & pepper or any other spices. No oil, aluminum foil, wraps, etc. There were no bars of soap or any shampoo (even travel sizes) in any bathrooms. I understand that the owner did not include these items in the listing; however, we have stayed at many rental properties that have these basic things. Maybe, it's because this was a new listing and the owner is not quite up to speed on what guests need. We brought our food to cook meals together, but had to go to the store for items like salt & pepper (which we left for the next guests). The owner provided only 1 bath towel for each guest, only 1 box of tissues for the entire property, only 1 full roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for 4 guests for 3 nights, (he did drop off a package of TP after our request) and just 2 dishwasher tabs (again, 4 guests for 3 nights). I was told that coffee and creamer are provided; however, there was not enough coffee for 4 guests for 3 mornings. Finally, inappropriately, the "linen guy" rang the bell while we were there to provide linens for the next guests, but during OUR vacation. If on the 4th floor, it's 2 flights down to answer the door and 2 back up. In summary, if you are staying at this property, it is nice, but you need to bring everything with you or go shopping when you get there.

We stayed for 4 amazing days! Beach 2 block away tucked back enough that we saw deer every day cross right under our balcony! Matt & Kristi are amazing hosts. Not one problem with the property. Will be back again very soon!

My wife, I, and our dog just spent four days at Sandy Paws in OBX and it was great! Three bedrooms-each with its own bath, plus a half bath off the kitchen. Kitchen loaded with glassware, plates, etc...Great location, centrally located to all the Outer Banks has to offer! Beach access directly down the road. Pool and water park were not open when we were there, but I'm sure that would be great for kids (ours are grown). Host was great with communication and access was quick and easy. One of the beach bikes is on the smaller side and wouldn't work for my wife (5'10"). Lovely place with two decks for afternoon sun--would definitely stay again!
