Really nice building and surroundings. Room had a luxury feel with a very comfy bedding and furnishings. Host brought me some fresh milk for my morning tea when I arrived which was a nice touch. Facilities were good: iron/ironing board, premium toiletries, fast wifi, tea/coffee making facilities with selection of fruit/herbal teas as well as classic breakfast tea and coffee, large fridge, large TV on the wall. Much nicer than a generic hotel and all for a decent price.

This private house, though located on a busy street, sits deep within a courtyard, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere with no road noise. The room, though small, had everything I needed, including unexpected conveniences like an iron and a refrigerator. The thoughtful provision of tea, coffee, and snacks was a welcome touch after a long journey. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the bright, clean bathroom with blackout curtains added to the overall comfort. The ample parking space was a definite plus.

My room, situated on the first floor near the entrance, experienced constant foot traffic and loud conversations throughout the day. The poor soundproofing made it quite noisy. The location is a bit far from the city center, making it inconvenient for dining options within walking distance.

So comfy and warm, facilities in terms of kitchen etc were also great! And Donna was fab, even going the extra mile to stand outside waiting for me as I got lost! A convenience store and pub with food within 2 mins walk. There is also a mini shopping centre about 3 mins drive away (Next, Fatface, H&M etc).

WiFi not particularly strong so if streaming a movie or wanting to use the apps on the tv you might struggle but it was one night so I just used my hotspot.

Very clean, very well decorated and furnished. The place was managed by a housekeeper who was not on the premises but responded by phone. Our bathroom had a fantastic shower. No breakfast is available but our room had a full sized fridge and fresh milk was provided.

I am not sure why it is advertised as Charnwood Guest House as the sign says Elizabeth House. There was no hairdryer. The pillow was too soft for me

Absolutely beautiful property and had a wonderful stay. Spent may nights sitting out in the beautiful garden. Staff are very friendly, efficient and accommodating.

Only that the fridge wasn't working however, didn't inform staff until the last night of my stay.

We were apparently upgraded to a very pleasant studio apartment. Everything was brand new by the look of it.

There is no signage for the property. We drove up and down the road several times and eventually found it by physically comparing photographs from Booking.com with a property called Elizabeth House. We then phoned the proprietor to confirm that we were in the right place.

Everything was 100% on point. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Fully equipped with all kitchen necessities. It's definitely worth every penny and more. I would highly recommend Charnwood guest house.
