Basically we booked a deluxe apartment which was over £200. We arrived and we weren’t given our ground floor apartment, but we were given a room. A room with less bunk beds then we needed, full of dirty fag butts, poo on our balcony, no bin!! Weird stains! A broken bed that was totally collapsed and it was as mentioned a room. We didn’t even have a toilet! We complained instantly and they gave us a code to the room next door - a room with a single bed and a bunk bed. Again a box room. With nothing else in it! Claiming they double booked us and that the toilet in the corridor was our private one - it was cubicles and there was constantly people in them! Random people! There was dog pee downstairs in the corridor! We had no bins, so we had to use carrier bags then take them outside to clean! The beds were covered in makeup and mess. No soap or toliet roll either! Fag butts on the floor! It was a state!!!
Also after booking they contacted me on WhatsApp - from a weird Malta company!! In Malta! Asking for all of our ID’s! And an extra £48, all my bank details!!! And if I didn’t do this I would be charged £300!!!!!!!!! It was meant to be 11 check out and 3 check in. But no code was given till almost 4. The check out was messaged to us as till 10. Any hour later was £15. The phone numbers and contacts don’t work!
They didn’t respond to me or my complaints.
We also got talking to the girls downstairs who we got ‘double booked’ with. The room didn’t exist!! Downstairs was merely again just rooms with beds! No apartments or whole floor apartments! Or patios! Or gardens! They said they didn’t think them pictures of the deluxe room existed!!!
We paid for a deluxe room and we instead got one of the bottom - cheapest ones!
It was awful and I’ve been trying to get my money back but they won’t answer! Weekend for my birthday was a weekend of hell!!! The red room, with the pole we don’t think think exists! You’ll be given a single room instead. Just a room.

In all honesty this place is not as bad as the reviews make out.
Consider it an expensive hostel more than a hotel. If it was advertised as such they wouldn't have anywhere near the amount of complaints.
For my group it was clean, comfy, and we were all able to use the showers before going out.
Good for groups of friends for short stays
The £49 deposit waiver feels like a complete scam and probably is.
Consider it as a cleaning fee and it doesn't sting as much but it does feel dodgy.

No proper details given about the hotel. Two staffs giving different locations.. No enough sugar for group when you asked they said they will bring but never turned up. They charge extra deposit money non refundable which is not clear in booking.com

Horrible hosts, probably scammers, they don’t answer their phone once you have booked. When you book elsewhere they will refuse to give you your money back. I had to go through all sorts of channels to get a refund. I would avoid any property that’s looked after by the agents who look after this one.

I was there to visit a friend. The hotel is very well located near the sea and shops for the price it is perfect. The room is good and comfortable with a kettle and a microwave. The hotel is quiet. Thanks to the host Millie, very helpful and welcoming. I recommend !

On arrival on Friday after being down graded the day before we arrived, we were horrified to find one large room for us all to sleep in as the folding door which separates the room was sealed shut on the left hand side. On trying to open the partition we were mortified by the dirt and grime found around the room. There was no private entrance in fact we were place right by the front door which was in continuous use all hours of the night banging and having people run up and down the stairs and people shouting from the street. The appartment is not soundproof and made us all feel very unsafe as the doors rattled every time one of the many doors near the entrance opened.
The private bathroom has blood splatted up the wall opposite which you sit to use the bathroom and we felt unsafe to use at night until checking that we couldn't hear anyone around and running backwards and forwards.
We had to put up with this as we needed to stay for our marathon runner. Getting details before arrive was like pulling teeth as it was all poorly organised and run! We have to message and push the people who run this to find the details out while traveling down.

Rien à part les matelas
Nous sommes arrivés comme prévu entre 17h et 18h et dc personne pour nous accueillir. Il pleut, nous n'avons pas les codes nous contactons dc (je) le gérant. Là on nous dit qu'il faut les copies des ids et une caution de 300 euros. Mes enfants étaient ko, il pleuvait bcp j'ai dc cédé à leurs exigences farfelues. Nous avons enfin les codes et parvenons à entrer. Nous nous dirigeons dc vers le numéro de porte indiqué et là surprise! L'appartement de 55 m2 avec cheminée et balcon était en fait une chambre avec 4 lits et un petit coin "cuisine". Une porte communicante avec la chambre d'à côté, pas du tout insonorisée et on pouvait entendre le moindre bruit venant de cette chambre habitée par trois hommes déjà alcoolisés. J'ai essayé d'obtenir l'appartement payé mais on m'a dit qu'il n'y avait pas de solution et d'envoyer mes plaintes au managment. Nous décidons dc d'aller faire un tour à Brighton pour manger et visiter et rentrons vers 21h. La télé sans télécommande n'étant pas utilisable, on se dit que si on dort tôt on partira plus vite de cet endroit. Car en effet, on savait que les trois mecs allaient rentrés en faisant du bruit. Je précise aussi que vu l'état des sanitaires on n'a pas voulu prendre de douche et notre porte d'entrée de chambre ne nous rassurait pas du tout. Nous nous couchons dc vers 21h40 et ... impossible de dormir malgré la fatigue. En effet, la fenêtre de la chambre donne sur une cour intérieur et on a eu la chance d'entendre comme si on y était la soirée chantante des filles d'en dessous. Quand enfin elles daignent se calmer, il est minuit passé et les voisin rentrent. Bruyants et fumant du cannabis. La fumée rentre dans la chambre. Bref, une horreur mes enfants étaient à bout, épuisés, apeurés et préférant dormir ds la voiture ... c'est une honte, très déçus, heureusement qu'on y passait qu'ne nuit !

The only good thing was that my bedding was clean and it’s along the seafront.
Mould everywhere, not clean, impossible to contact staff, no pillowcase on my pillow, room smelled of fags, bowls were used as ash trays and not cleaned out before we got there. Floor in room was visibly not cleaned.

Okay value for money
Said there was a separate bedroom, there was not, never saw or heard from the staff, facilities were basic, difficult to get into, minimal kitchen facilities, bathroom separate from appartment, no heating!!!

Location was good, room looked good once finally in.
Hosts were an utter nightmare to get a hold of to get into property. Stood outside for ages calling numerous numbers to try and get the code for room. Then when you do get hold of someone they are point blank rude and unhelpful and just useless as a whole.

Beautiful place with lovely room decorations.Very tidy and lovely AirBnb apartment equipped with everything you need. A good bed and nice clean shower room.

This was advertised as an “apartment” but it’s one big room that looks like a 12 year old girl designed a prison cell with an external “private” bathroom that had a fully uncovered window that anyone outside could see you getting in and out of the shower or using the bathroom. Also no air conditioning and the room was so hot and stuffy all night. Another group staying here was drunk and screaming outside the front door and another guest got into a yelling match with them and called the cops on them. Thankfully this was more entertaining than it was annoying being kept up that late at night.
Also insane check in process for this place, both online and finding it and figuring out all of the keys and million doors that came with it. Online process was confusing and the hosts offered little to no support and ignored several of my messages. Also this place, though “cheap” requires a 300 GPB deposit. Which is insane as I think you could buy most of the tacky “instagram-able” decor for significantly less.
I guess we got what we paid for though we still paid entirely too much. I’d rather sleep in my car or on a bench outside next time. Would never stay here again.

The location is good. Perfect if you want to have a night out and dont want to take a taxi or bus to go home. Price is ok.
Its not what is seems to be in the picture. You cant do an early check in. It will cost you 35£. No one will really meet you. Theres no reception. When they email you about the check in dont expect a code or something after. They will only email it 40 mins before 3pm or exactly 3pm for your check in. Theres no signage outside indicating thats the hotel. Its only 33 that was handwritten by paint. Again stressful. Calling them would give you a headache. They only answered after 8 missed calls. Dont know why. Coming inside the hostel will scare you. Lol. The room was particulary nice. Again, if your not picky or have a diva attitude this will be ok for you. The toilet is outside the room. Under the stairs. Creepy. Hope this helps.

We paid 80 pounds per person for dormitory. This is exploitation. The room was too small, we could barely move and kitchen amenities bad. Bathroom also too small and not clean. Worst experience ever! I would not recommend it to my worst enemy!

Overall a really great stay for a group/stag/hen's, great size rooms & beds for people not planning on spending a lot of time in their hotel but instead out & about. Comfortable beds, cleans bathrooms for the most part & a really good location, no more than 5 minutes walk to the high street etc. Great pub & cafe within 1 minute walk also - had a group of 11 stag and went down a treat with how cheap it works out vs hotels. Really recommend for groups
Emails when booking say you will receive a check in email etc, however this isnt sent until the evening before arrival. After completing this, you are told you will get the key box code shortly - didnt receive this until about 90 mins before arriving however - which is fine but just make those expectations clear in the emails.
Outside of that, nothing else worth mentioning as its more tiny small personal preferences

The property was in a great location and ideal for large groups - it came with a small kitchen including microwave, fridge and freezer which was handy too
The property was around the block from the listing which we didn’t find out until after the allotted check in time. Nobody was at the property at 3pm so I had to call several times, then found out cleaners were still there so we could drop off our bags but had to come back 1 hour later. Only after calling did I get the code to enter the property with the actual address.
