Amazing customer service and breakfast!

This upscale hotel was nestled into the waterfront community in downtown Porto. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was phenomenal. Everything was in close walking distance with a few hills to add an element of challenge. The rooftop bar was a perfect spot to spend the evening.

This hotel is absolutely lovely. The staff go above and beyond, the rooms are very sizable for Europe (similar to USA hotel rooms), it feels safe and clean. The restaurant is tasty and the breakfasts were incredible. It's up a cobbestone walkway, so not great if you have mobility issues, and doesn't really make sense to rent a car. We had no issue getting Ubers from the end of the walkway to take us anywhere, or we could walk 10-15 minutes to most restaurants we wanted to go to. Great launching point into Porto.

Wonderful staff and amenities. If you want to be near the waterfront, this is the place to stay!

The staff here is incredible - they all went above and beyond. The hotel is beautiful and upscale. Beds are so comfortable. The decor is so appealing and the architecture out of this world. It was hard to stay in other places after being here.

The breakfast buffet offered a lovely variety of options. The rooftop bar/patio was a nice getaway to relax after a busy day of walking the historic streets of Porto. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful hotel with exceptional staff and dining. Hard to find on Google Maps and not very accessible by car for luggage drop off, but that ends up being part of the hotel's charm. Would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel is stunning. Book it now. The staff is SO accommodating and helpful. Breakfast is a delight. It is a quite narrow street but both our drop off and pickup drivers maneuvered it fine. We would stay again!!

This property was simply charming and elegant. Its location is ideal - close enough to walk to Rebiera and other neighborhoods but far away enough from the crowds. Loved the tucked away feel while having the tram right there. View from the balcony was adorable. The staff were so sweet and accommodating. We enjoyed wonderful breakfast and rooftop dining as well. Highly recommend.

Lovely and quiet location. Major parts of the city are easily accessible despite it being a bit out of the way. Great rooms and breakfast and staff.

This is a really beautiful hotel, a little out of town, up a tiny cobbled street., only about 10 mins walk into the town centre. We were given a very warm welcome and a glass of wine on arrival. The staff and service were excellent, as was the breakfast which offered lots of choice, including many healthy options, as well as ‘English’ style hot food. Everything was of excellent quality and the waiting staff were very attentive. Our room was lovely with loads of storage and comfortable beds. A large bottle of mineral water was provided every day. Although we were close to the lift there was never any noise at all. We had dinner in the Hotel restaurant (Traves) one evening, which was delicious. The cocktails in the very comfortable bar, and the rooftop bar, were pretty good too! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and if we ever return to Porto, this is where we’ll stay.

If you’re thinking of booking Hotel das Virtudes then do book it! The stay was wonderful! The rooms and hotel areas are luxurious. The hotel both feels historic (they have kept stone walls and old features of the building) and modern (beautiful decor, glass lift). There are different room types - each with unique features! The breakfast is stunning and was included with our room price - pastries, freshly cooked eggs, pancakes, fresh bread, fruit, sliced meats and cheese, smoked salmon, salad, cereal and homemade yoghurt …. !) The rooms themselves are incredible. The beds are very comfortable and there was rare noise from other rooms or outside! The hotel is located in a quiet area just a short walk from the main Porto attractions. We used taxis (Bolt) to get us to and from the airport because the price was so affordable, but you can also get the tram.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, excellent breakfast. If you are OK with hills, walkable to the sights of Porto. Would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. Dinner in the restaurant excellent too.

Very fine hotel. Very modern and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the location is very difficult to get to except by taxi.

The hotel is very new and ocuupies a beautiful converted historic building. The interior is immaculate with lots of interesting features. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and the staff were excellent and very helpful. The food in the restaurant was exceptional - probably the best meal I had in Porto.

I have no complaints about this place at all. The food and room were amazing! People were so helpful and friendly. I’ll come back

Tasteful and nice hotel with attention to detail. Very attentive and friendly staff. Good location, although limited access for cars the last 100 meters or so.

We loved our stay here. The staff at the front desk, the cleaning staff, and the wait staff in the restaurant were always exceptional. We already miss Daniel and Michael. Our hotel was beautifully designed and decorated in the room and in the common spaces. We enjoyed the breakfast quality and variety. The bed in our room was a bit firm and on a couple of occasions our Ubers would not take us up to the hotel entrance because of the narrow paths, The immediate area around the hotel is quiet and safe, but we were just a few minutes away from various sites of interest.
