The hotel is easy to find in main street of town. We enjoyed a really great meal in front of the log fire in the hotel. Large room with super-comfortable bed and adequate furniture.
Due to age of hotel, and cold weather, the bathroom felt too cold to shower.

Recently renovated in 2023 the room and bathroom were superb. Very comfortable and we faced the carpark so it was very quiet and relaxing. We ate in the restaurant and the food and ambience were great. We had a terrace but we didn't realise until the morning that it was exclusively ours. If we'd known, we would have slept with the doors open. Very comfy bed, super spacious room and very nice bathroom.
If there was one small thing it was the creaky floorboards in the hallway.

The hotel has been tastefully renovated and the rooms are very large and clean. Great shared facilities, also superbly clean. The Hotel restaurant is also great for a meal.

Was disappointed that not all the rooms had ensuite bathrooms. Some had shared bathrooms and it was hard to distinguish between the rooms. If younger this most probably would not have worried us.

I had a booking for 2 rooms for 3 nights. For some reason, which no one at the hotel can explain to me, when we arrived, the booking had been cancelled.

I didn't have breakfast there - but enjoyed a little time in the bar one night. It is a spacious, light filled friendly-gracious place, and my room overlooked a lovely courtyard full of lots of happy people and a very beautiful old gracious Tree. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and generous, beautiful linen; I felt like a princess. I liked the bathroom facilities very much. Brass fittings, light and airy, high ceilings everywhere. One gets that expansive, lofty and free born feeling. Thank you very much for your friendliness and the purity of rest, quiet, kindness, and hospitality, I found there.
I liked it thoroughly. :) I would definitely wish to stay there again. I will recommend the Hotel to friends.

The rooms were nicely renovated and it was so convenient that it was part of the pub.
There was little to no soundproofing so you could hear everyone walking past your room.

Has character. Nicely renovated. Warm, had a fire in public lounge. Great location.
Staff not helpful when asked to resolve issues I.e. did not know wifi passwords, couldn’t resolve excessive noise in our room ( ..by turning down the background music sound system)
Occasional loud vehicle noise from adjoining busy Main Street.
Balcony not welcoming due to extent of pigeon excrement.

Great place to stay, very affordable, clean and comfortable. The newly renovated rooms are excellent and very spacious. You could even bring your own cot for a baby easily. The room doesn't have it's own private bathroom, but the shared bathrooms were very clean and accessible.
