We loved the SOHA house and yard! Our grandkids played in the entire third floor dedicated to kids and in the swings/play area outside. We loved sitting in several spots both inside and outside. I especially enjoyed seeing the enormous Catalpa tree from my bedroom window. I highly recommend this house for a three generation family vacation.

Perfrct house for lifelong friends to get together with their children!

Had a couple maintenance issues that could have been detrimental to our stay but Brandy and Chen were absolutely awesome and got everything taken care of to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Great house with a lot of space. Must stay for groups with small kids as the playground and playroom came in clutch for keeping the kids entertained. Within walking distance to beach and downtown restaurants and shops.

Our family was so pleased with this house and the extra touches the owner put in to making our stay amazing! We were a large group but everyone had plenty of space. The kids played outside nonstop and were all sad to leave. Thank you so much for hosting us and letting us stay in your beautiful home!

The home was exactly what we needed for a family vacation. It is within walking distance to downtown and the beach, which we did on multiple occasions. The neighborhood was peaceful and the provided baby items certainly helped lighten the load while packing. Highly recommend!

Great open kitchen/dining layout. Having a main floor bedroom was important for us because we had some older family members with mobility issues. Selling point was the large backyard with great play set for the kids- you can sit in the kitchen area and watch them play. We love this neighborhood- very quiet but walkable to the Farmer's Market and shops. The new home owner was very pleasant and responsive. We would definitely stay again!

Love this place! This was our second time staying here and we loved it just as much as the first. The property manager was super accommodating and easily accessible. We hope to visit again next year!

I stayed witha group of friends at this listing over Labor Day weekend. The property was exactly as advertised—spacious, clean, and was in the perfect spot to explore downtown and walk to South Beach. We made so many great memories around the fire pit and barbecuing in the backyard. I cant say enough good things about the host either. Issues were resolved promptly even after the rental period was over. I hope we can stay there again next summer!

Huge kitchen, plenty of spaces to socialize. My grandson loved the play set and playing the.piano. Lots of fires in the fire pit and walks to town.

We loved our time in this house! Great place outdoors to be around the fire, and lots of room inside too. The kitchen was very nice!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is older and has a few areas that need some small cosmetic attention. Otherwise this house has all you can ask for. Plenty of rooms, plenty of towels and blankets, good outdoor entertainment area, and full stocked kitchen. We rented golf carts to drive around town and that was the best choice. Yes the kids corner playground and beach are walkable, but it was a pretty far walk. We had zero issues while we stayed here. Never had to contact owner about anything.

Communication from the host was always quick and she was very accommodating! The house was beautiful inside and out. Tons of character and had everything you could need for a weekend in South Haven. Can’t beat a home bbq and coffee by the fire pit on vacation! Lots of room for people to sleep and still have privacy.

Great location, convenient to everything in the area

The house was great, laid out in a way that allowed our group to all spend time together and separately. The kids loved the third floor, they called it the "magical land" and also the playset in the yard. Close enough to easily walk downtown for the New Year's Eve festivities but very quiet, and the owners were astonishingly responsive. Would stay again any time of year!

We rented this home for a special family reunion Christmas. I have 4 adult sons, and it was the first time the younger 2 boys had seen the older 2 boys in 15 years. We were pleasantly surprised to see the Christmas lights on the house, and a Christmas tree in the living room area complete with a gas fireplace. Chen was a very gracious hostess, and called me promptly upon making the reservation to review details. She gave my family an extraordinarily generous gift in honor of our special occasion, which will be cherished. . The home is picture-perfect for a family Christmas and the photos on VRBO do not capture its beauty and charm. There is plenty of room for sleeping, and a full bath on both the 1st and 2nd floors. If you’re looking for a dream kitchen to prepare a holiday meal in, this is a novice chef’s jackpot! It’s quite stunning with its tiled countertops, 6-gas burner chef’s stove, and double ovens. If you plan to do some baking, you may want to bring some cookie sheets, cake pans, or muffin/bread pans, but otherwise you’ll find just about everything you need. I, personally, enjoyed the enormous kitchen, and took away lovely memories of making meals and baking with my boys and their girlfriends for Christmas. The beds are comfortable, and the TV area has a pull-out, and can be made into a private space for sleeping in with curtained French doors. The upstairs bathroom has ample room, a private toilet within it, and a beautifully tiled whirlpool bath, and rainfall walk-in shower. The downstairs bathroom has a seated shower and handicap accessible bathroom, and there’s a brand-new model washer/dryer in there too. To perspective renters bringing a wheelchair (WC) bound person: The 1st floor bedroom is not WC accessible. If the person can walk from the door to the bed, they would be ok. Otherwise, they may be better accommodated in the TV area with the pull-out bed and curtained French doors. This is an historic home, with beautiful renovations which we found to be a perfect place to spend our Christmas holiday. There are plenty of lovely surprises for everyone, like a reading room & fireplace on the 2nd floor and a game room on the 3 rd floor equipped with a PlayStation 3 and colorful chairs. We brought board games and had a great time sitting around the dining room table together having lots of laughs! I highly recommend this beautiful home! Thank U, dear Chen!

This home was perfect for my family’s Thanksgiving weekend. We all live in different parts of the country so this was a good middle ground with plenty of space to cook, sleep, and entertain. With double ovens and a 6 burner stove, the kitchen was beyond well equipped to make a complete Thanksgiving meal. The bedrooms were configured beautifully so that each of the four families had their own space. The game room with Xbox was such a highlight for the 11, 12, and 13 year old. They were happy to have a private space sans adults. Having both a tv room and formal living room was also key to our enjoyment of the home. Some watched movies in one room while others were able to catch up on life in the other. The community is adorable. Phoenix street has plenty of small businesses and was made even better by the block long dog parade that came through on Black Friday afternoon. I couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay!

Very family-friendly property. House was very well stocked with linens and kitchen amenities. Everything was clean except for the floors which may need a good scrubbing. The owner was able to answer any questions and responded very quickly. I would definitely recommend

The walk to the beach wasn’t as far as we expected. The kids loved the play set. It could use a little TLC, but worked great for our littles. Not sure about bigger kids. The bunk room connecting to the other bedroom was great since we have littles. The washer and dryer were fantastic. The floors were a little dirty. Our kids feet were always black, but the huge jacuzzi tub took care of that before bed. The owner was very responsive when we needed something.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was as advertised. The kids enjoyed the yard and access to games, toys, books and more. We are already discussing booking this same place again next year.

This house was perfect for 4 adults and 4 kids from 4-6. There is a ton of sleeping flexibility which is key with younger kids. All the amenities were provided to make it a great stay. The kids loved running around in the big yard, playing on the playground, and in the third floor play area. The adults liked the giant kitchen, the fire pit and gas grill right off the kitchen. The location is great for an easy trip to the beach or the main downtown area along the river. Highly recommend this house.

The kitchen was huge! The pictures do not do the house justice, its really nice and accomdating for a large family group. It was too long of a walk to get to the beach for us and there is a busy road to cross but it is a very quick drive to south beach.

Property manager was great and even brought out bikes from the basement for our family!

We visited Chen's property for Memorial Day weekend. We had two families with a total five kids, five and under, including two babies under one. The house was large and ready for the kids! In addition to toys and books and fun bunk beds, the house also provided two pack and plays for the babies, so we didn't need to bring them. Chen also provided all the beach equipment you could want! There was plenty of room for us to roam around the house, and the outside patio and porch were great for the adults while the kids napped. Downtown is just a short walk from the house, and the Kids playground is less than a fifteen minute walk. Chen was super communicative and responded to any questions we had instantly. We had a fantastic time - thank you!
