Miss Sherry was absolutely wonderful! Her place is gorgeous, clean, and family friendly. We were able to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the busy day. It was so quiet and peaceful, and just a dhort frive away from the Ark. Thank you for making this feel like our home away from home!

This was by far the most pleasant experience I've had stay away from home. It was like a home away from home. Every we needed was there and the hostess is the SWEETEST!!! Met us with a fresh baked loaf of bread that was so yummy! The property is absolutely gorgeous! It was clean as it possibly could be and little hidden treasures were everywhere. I can not say enough about this place. Book it!!! You will NOT regret it.

If you want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle…”My Happy Place” is not for you. If you want a special place, close to the Ark Encounter, that is quiet and peaceful we encourage you to try “My Happy Place”. Sherry, our host, went out of her way to make sure our needs were met. When we revisit the area, we will plan on staying there again. Thank you Sherry.

We stayed for one night after visiting the Ark. The property has a homey feeling and very clean! Sherry was so sweet and we enjoyed talking with her. She even set us up with stuff for a camp fire so all we had to do was light it. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the countryside. Thank you for an awesome stay!

What a blessing to find this place. No body around. Very clean. If I ever came back to Kentucky this is where I would want to be. The lady was so friendly and kind. Even gave me some ideas to see around the area.

Sherry began communicating immediately after booking. Very personable and helpful. Gave great directions. Met us at end of drive. Took us to property, gave tour of place, made sure we had everything we needed. Gave us info about the Ark and Creation Museum we were there to visit. Gave us info on local shopping and other attractions. The house was immaculate. Cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. Went out of her way to get local honey for us. She’s a five-star host. We enjoyed getting to know her. The property was quiet except for sounds of nature. We saw wild turkeys and a deer and a great variety of birds. Well stocked with everything you could need. Very comfortable.

Miss Sherry was very kind and welcoming. We are thankful she allowed our family to stay at her property while visiting the Ark Encounter for the Homeschool conference. The bread and brownies were delicious. Everything was clean and working. The property was very quiet and relaxing. This was so much nicer than staying at a hotel, and we wished we could've stayed longer. Highly recommended.

We were a family of MS traveling through Kentucky for the first time to visit the Ark Encounter. We wanted to stay close to the ark encounter in a safe place and where we could save money by going back to our stay for lunch. This place was just the place with great cleanliness, short drive to the ark, and we felt safe there. I enjoyed being able to fix meals for my family there and use the washer and dryer. Mrs Sherry was very easy to talk with and she had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable! I would recommend this place to anyone and if i traveled back to Kentucky again id choose it again as well.

Very quiet n peaceful host has great hospitality

Our family had a wonderful time. It was a great property to stay at for our visit to The Ark. Communication was fantastic. Quiet and serene views of the fields and The Ark. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Had everything we needed. Even homemade bread at arrival. Clean and well stocked. Could not ask for more in a home away from home.

We so enjoyed the wonderful home we rented. The communication was top notch. She had taken time to make sure all our children had special toys and appropriate items for their ages. The property was perfect for our family! It was clean and spacious! Hope to stay there again the next time we visit.

Great place Close to the Ark

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Beautiful country scenery. Sherry was so accommodating and helpful and the delicious homemade bread just added to it. All you need to bring is your clothes! I would highly recommend My Happy Place and hope to get to go back sometime!

The most outstanding part of our one-night stay was the location. We were a short drive to our destination (The Ark Encounter), and the property is secluded. We chose peace and privacy over a hotel stay and glad we did. The house had every imaginable need covered. Sherry outfits this house with reading material, kids stuff, outdoor seating, and more. If you want to escape the rat race, this is the place to go. Plus, she makes delicious cushaw bread to share with guests. :-)

The house sits on a farm by it self with about a 1/4 mile driveway going in.You can see the ARK as you are going in.Ms. Sherry is a wonderful host and I guarantee you will enjoy your stay.

We were met by Miss Sherry and had a tour as we went down the lane and loved it. Her place is very nice and homey with a beautiful view of the countryside and is close to the Ark Adventure. The homemade bread was a delicious touch. I forgot something and was able to go get it from her and was met with another tasty treat-frozen brownies. They were wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again. Thank you again Miss Sherry for a wonderful place to stay.

We made it shortly after check out time and Sherry met us and made us feel welcome, the bread she baked us was delicious we had with our breakfast the next morning and we were able to relax, grill out, let my kids out to play and not worry about anyone for miles, we felt safe and welcomed and the house was cute and comfortable and had everything we needed. We hated to leave and we're happy to be able to stay and come back each night after our outings to somewhere quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

This is a nice clean peaceful with beautiful views. We enjoyed our stay. And bread was delicious and greatly appreciated and enjoyed.

Sherry was more than accommodating, she definatly takes pride in her property. Everything was perfect! Cant say enough on house beautiful the area was. Rolling hills, remote, and campfire under the stars.

The perfect place to stay on my trip to The Ark Encounter VBS Showcase. Very easy to go back and forth quickly, extremely clean and comfortable, quiet and peaceful, and a fantastic hostess! I loved everything about it and will stay again when I have the opportunity.

What a wonderful visit we had at "My Happy Place," while we ministered through drama and theater at The Ark Encounter! We spent a delightful three weeks at the quaint farmhouse. Without exception, everything was clean, anything we could have needed for our extended stay was there--tucked in a cabinet--no detail was left out. Even when we got locked out, arrangements and a phone call had us back in, within 10 minutes. Now, to the subject of our lovely host, Miss Sherry--such a lovable, feisty soul, full of gusto and courage, she was in tune with our needs and she genuinely cared that we had everything we needed. She even coached me to drive through 4" of snow for the very first time. She is now a friend for life--a true friend!

Ms. Sherry was a wonderful host. Listen to her directions! It was out of the way, peaceful, clean & just perfect for our needs. BTW she made us homemade bread & it changed our lives I think. Lol She checked to make certain everything was good & we simply adored her. If youre looking for peace & quiet & a great place to stay with all of the amenities...theres your place.

We only got one night but could have stayed a week it was awesome. Clean quiet and restful. The owner showed up s around then we were on our own which was good we went to bed which was very comfortable. I hope we can come back and stay longer.
