great food at Scully's,

The bed was very very outdated and desperately needs to be replaced, the tripping hazard carpet squares were not secured in place, bedroom door was very thin and didn't feel the most secure, the no pet policy should mean NO PETS....there was also a disgusting box of arm and hammer baking soda in the refrigerator that was starting to mold

I personally liked the outdated feel because it took me back to my childhood. The room has everything you need and the bed is extremely comfortable.

Unfortunately there was a small yapping dog who was a "service dog" that disturbed our night.

The customer service was excellent and it was apparent that the new management is working on improving the customer experience. It was our first time staying, having decided last minute to get away for the weekend. We were especially impressed with the front of house staff at check in, and the staff at the attached lakeside restaurant Sully’s on the Lake. We enjoyed a delicious meal (truly good burgers) and the sunset view was an added bonus :)

The property has seen better days, and while it was apparent that the staff is trying to improve things, there is definitely room for improvement. We stayed in the hotel portion so I can only speak to that area (there are adorable lakeside cottages for rent that we’ll try next time.) Our room was well appointed, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. The carpeting was worn, the paint faded, the floors creaked: this is an older hotel and it shows it’s age, but in a charming way.
