One of the best houses we’ve stayed in on vacation. Super luxurious and has all the amenities you could need - super well stocked. Leisurely walks to the beach, howler monkeys in the trees, and relaxing days by the pool - not much more you can ask for. Place was perfect for our 2 families of four. Mirrored bedroom setups upstairs and downstairs made it great for 2 families with our own spaces. The concierge service through what’s app was a great add to schedule massages and activities. Housekeeping and breakfast that is included made the mornings relaxing and kept the place tidy. Beds were super comfortable, bathrooms were amazing, and outside area was perfect for relaxing days. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at this lovely home- the house is just as shown in the photos and the 9 of us (4 adults, 5 kids) had more than enough space for all the activities we might want. The pool, grill, kitchen, washer/dryer were great extras that made our stay easy. We felt so pampered by the daily housekeeping/breakfast service- she was a lovely person who really went out of her way to make everything extra nice for us. The Beach Club was such a nice extra, and we spent part of several days there in the pool or having lunch/drinks, or to watch the sunset. Our favorite beach ended up being Playa Langosta, which was a 10 min golf cart ride over bumpy roads, but totally worth it. We also hit the JW once to see what the fuss was about, and although they do have a gigantic pool, the hotel restaurant service was not great, but the gift shop team was- after seeing the hotel, made us even happier that we rented this house! One note: we did not realize when we booked this house, how hard it is to get a cab/uber out of this neighborhood. We rented golf carts, which were super fun, and perfect to get to the JW, the beach club, the stables etc, getting out to Tamarindo was quite a challenge. Next time I think we would rent a car rather than the golf carts, so we could move around outside of Hacienda Pinilla more easily. We made do, but word of advice to others - consider renting a car, or booking transport in advance, if you want to explore outside of Hacienda Pinilla.

Vida Pinilla, the company that manages this home, was very helpful, cordial and comprehensive with coordinating every aspect of our trip. Housekeeping including meal preparation was inclusive with our stay. They assisted with booking rental bikes, grocery delivery before our arrival, gourmet home chef dinner, car service from airport as well as multiple activities and dinner reservations. The house itself is beautiful, clean and modern with space for everyone in our group of 10. We had a slight problem with ants in one of the bedrooms but this was addressed quickly. The best feature of the house is the proximity to the neighborhood beach which is beautiful. Not the best swimming beach but great for exploring tide pools at low tide and watching gorgeous sunsets.

I cannot say enough about our experience at Maestrale Villa. My husband, myself and our three boys stayed there the week after Christmas with my brother and his family. The layout for multiple families is perfect. Four roomy suites all with their own full baths. And the house is newly constructed and was immaculate with its own private pool and multiple lounging areas. The private beach was across the beach, and the beach club a quick drive / golf cart ride away. With lots of active kids we had an adventure filled week with jet ski tours, zip lining, ATV tours, fishing charters and Tamarindo shopping excursions. But the highlight of the trip was the Maestrale Villa. From the beginning of the process of finding lodging to checking out on the last day, the service and attention to detail was top notch. Imagine waking up at 8:00 every morning to the smell of bacon and coffee that the housekeeper is making (ours was named Mary and she was out of this world!). Then as you feast on the buffet that has been placed in front of you of eggs, yogurt, granola, bacon and pretty much anything you request (you have to supply the food but there is a nearby supermarket), and prepare for your day, the house is cleaned, your laundry washed, and fresh fruit cut up. I have to say that I am accustomed to luxury accommodations and this place did not disappoint. It is centrally located to many activities (as mentioned above - make sure you also make reservations in advance for the day at Lola's!) and is a jewel. We are already planning our trip back and we will make sure we book Meastrale Villa (and request Mary!).
