Doesn't matter what time of day tried to shower no hot wster. Noisy could here every step up and down stairs aswell as elevator. Bucksnort pub was great food however and service was excellent.

Hotel spelt like cat urine. Staff had trouble understanding me (speaking English). Tried to give me a room I did not request. Would not stay here again.

Overall good experience. Only downsides were if you open the window there isn’t a screen to prevent bugs and rain from coming in and the shower water setting was either too cold or too hot.

Terrible place and barely slept as my partner and I felt very unsafe in this "hotel" due to poor service, people smoking and talking loudly outside late at night, unprofessional signage, and a TV cabinet with a missing TV giving eery vibes...

The property is ok ish, it worked for a night. The cleaning was ok but the building needs maintenance and a proper deep clean. The staff are polite but not outgoing and had difficulty with English.

Weird smell in the hotel. Front desk called my room at 1030pm and when I finally woke up and picked up the phone I couldn’t understand what they were asking.

it was a bad choice. dirty. bad beds. no towels in bathroom. tv not working. restaurant closed on Monday along with most in town. no screens on windows so the bugs and rain gets in if you open them. ice maker and vending machines out of order.

Room was okay. Bed was alright, but pillows were horrible, had to go buy new ones. The pub attached to the hotel had great service and food. Walked around the area, not much to see.

It’s a decent hotel for the price. A little run down and some things like bulbs being out in lights. For the price though, is a decent place to crash with comfy beds.

Reserved a queen online, but all they had was a room with two doubles.
Smoke detector woke us up in the middle of the night.

Uncomfortable beds. AC didn’t work. Dilopitated. Front desk attendant unfriendly. Expensive. Only good was walkable to nearby park (with dog enclosure and nice path). Another words, avoid the place and drive to the park .

The hotel was a bit worn-down but it looked like some upgrading was going on. The room was ok, but the laundry room was very filthy and dirty. The staff was very friendly.

It’s an older property with some history to it I would say. Lotta loggers and fishermen have stayed here over the years. The current owners and staff are doing their best to make it presentable. I applaud their effort.

The hotel is newly renovated, quiet and clean. Staff are nice. The location is convenient, it's between Tofino and Parksville, so we can play in Parksville for the first day, and Tofino in the second day. Definitely will come back for next Tofino trip.

The property was in very poor condition. We were booked into the 3rd floor and the elevator was out of service, no one even asked if we needed assistance, one of us had a fractured arm and I have limited abilities due to a brain injury. There was no smoke detector, house phone, hair dryer, the chain lock was broken, the beds were not comfortable, the TV didn't work well, the picture was very faint. We only had one set of towels and not way to request more. There was no attendant in the hotel after 10 pm with only a phone # left for emergencies. Upon checkout someone came out but had cool reception. The hotel was overpriced for the overall condition and lack of amenities.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO EVEN MY WORST ENEMY.

Having just been taken over by new owners, and not even having a sign out front yet to identify itself, we found the Ocean Marina motel to be quiet, pretty clean and convenient to Port Alberni's downtown. Definitely worth the price all things considered.
