I liked the position of the B&B. I like the little touches of wine and chocolates on arrival in our room. I liked the shower. I liked the piece and quiet. I like the decor of the rooms.

I didn’t like the coffee. There were 3 machines and all complicated to use with no milk pods so when you added milk the coffee was cold. There was only continental breakfast available which was not clear when we booked.

The location was excellent and the room bijou but beautifully appointed. Kathryn and her partner couldn’t do enough to help and were extremely welcoming. They were particularly accommodating about us parking beyond our stay which was much appreciated. The shower was amazing and we also enjoyed the complimentary wine and chocolates. Thank you so much!

I only had to stop over in Looe for an overnight business trip, so I wanted a place to stay as close to the railway station as possible. I was at The Captains House less than 3 minutes after my train arrived. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two beautiful barking dogs and given instructions how to find my keys and find my room. The room was delightful, a very comfortable double bed, with a stunning modern bathroom. I had everything I needed for the night. The owner Kathryn was the best host you could ask for - she gave me home-made fruit scones and jam for my journey home, she cooked me delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast, and gave me honest advice about where to eat/order in food on a Thursday night. The Wi-Fi was incredibly fast so I got some work done, I had Netflix on my TV, tea/coffee facilities by my bed, and a very cosy bed to snuggle in to. If I could have stayed for one more day in Looe, I would have.
