Very nice cabin in a remote and quiet location but still accessible to NOC and Bryson City as it sits pretty much in between both locations. Great place for a mountains get away weekend.

Property was clean and nicely decorated. Kitchen was properly stocked and had all the necessities.

Beautiful mountain cabin in a really cool location. Everything was super clean and comfortable. The decks are awesome and there are plenty of games in the basement for the family. The owners are very conscientious and attended to every detail, including mailing back my son’s AirPods very quickly. We would definitely stay there again. Bryson City is a wonderful small mountain town that is definitely worth visiting.

Firefly Lodge is a great gathering and get away place for all ages. Plenty of individual spaces to escape with a book and together spaces to share family time. Ashley was delightful to work with and very prompt with replies to questions. We would definitely recommend Firefly Lodges for your mountain getaway.

We were making a vacation to celebrate milestones in our family. Frist, it was my Dad's 89th birthday. Secondly, earlier it was my parent's 67th wedding anniversary. And lastly our eldest daughter also had a birthday in the week. We wanted to rent "On Golden Pond" for a movie night to celebrate their anniversary, but internet/ streaming service was too poor all week long - even went completely out in spots. YouTubeTV, HULU, Netflix & Prime all wouldn't play. Social Media would scroll but not play video. The last mile or so is on a private, one lane, gravel road that could have been improved; very bumpy. I would not attempt the drive in a sedan in the late fall thru winter months. Area events were fantastic: On to these hills in Cherokee, Train ride and tubing were great as well. My parents are in good, but declining health and main floor accommodations were well suited for them. Overall, if you want solitude/ cool weather vacation in a very nice house - it is as advertised.

The house was absolutely stunning, and the property was like being in a piece of heaven! The hosts were very responsive and helpful in making sure we had the most perfect weekend. Would definitely recommend in the future!!!

Cabin is great for hosting a group. Lots of amenities and beautiful view.

We enjoyed our time at Firefly cabin and plan to book again in the near future. The cabin is conveniently located to many of our favorite spots in western NC but offers a secluded getaway that is uncommon this close to so many attractions and amenities. The hosts have put thoughtful detail into the cabin, from a well stocked kitchen to very comfortable seating inside and out. They were also excellent communicators, and we knew we could count on a quick response if we needed anything. We have never rented a cabin on a rain water catchment system and were not sure what to expect, but we had zero issues.
