We travel to Tauranga regularly and this is the only place we would stay. We love the peace and quiet of being in the country and yet still being handy to all of the amenities of Tauranga. The host are very welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We travel with our small dog and she also enjoys her time in the country.

We returned to this bach (it's really a full size house) as we had previously enjoyed our stay here. The on site hosts go out of their way to ensure that you have everything that you need and go the extra mile to ensure your comfort. As an example we arrived on a cold winter's night and the lights were turned on, the blinds/curtains drawn and the heatpump on. After a busy and cold day it was nice to walk into such an inviting environment. It was also a nice change to wake up the next day to the absolute peace and quiet of the country. As a bonus we were also able to have our fur baby stay with us.
We would highly recommend this bach to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the Tauranga region.

We had a wonderful stay here on the weekend. The property was very clean and tidy. Rita was a lovely host and she helped us with our puppy too. We wish we could have stayed longer. Such a peaceful, lovely place to stay at. I can highly recommend this place. I think we'll be back :)

Kims place was perfect. It was sparkling clean which made a nice change from previous accommodations. Very pretty surroundings and very close to the Beach. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a country stay

A very tidy accommodation option, perfect for a family stay. Only a couple of suggestions - the lack of/limited internet was a bit of a problem (especially with teenagers), as it was difficult to look up info about Mt Maungonui and Tauranga! Would be great to also have some brochures/tourist maps of the area for us visitors 😅. The beautiful big tv and access to Netflix was a real bonus, but only worked on the first night due to internet drop-out. Not a huge issue, but probably something that might put off some visitors. Thanks very much for your friendly welcome and lovely hospitality!

The house was well laid-out and the owner included some extras, like milk, bread, and some delicious pears grown on the property. Location is a bit out of the way, but very serene.
Only complaint was that the hot water ran out very quickly. Showers were an adventure.

We are well traveled Kiwis, and we previously owned an B&B ourselves. We booked the stay because we visited family who lives in the area. That said, Gary and Rita catered for all our needs. The spacious house had everything we needed, for young and old. We loved the peacefulness and the park like surroundings. We could cook a family meal in the fully equipped kitchen and enjoy family time together at the amazing waterfall nearby. Gary sent us off with a bag of figs from the garden. We will definitely book at the Pukeko Inn again.

We loved our stay at this lovely, clean house. Everything was thought of - with extra blankets for warmth. We were also able to try some homegrown pears, which were the tastiest we've ever had!
The owners (and Zeus!) were very welcoming.

Greeted by the owners friendly parents and shown to the stand alone two bedroom cottage, which is well appointed, with modern bathroom hardware and everything we needed for our overnight stay but we would have been happy staying for longer to explore the region if we had had more time. We were allowed to Walk the dog through the two adjacent paddocks and this suited the pooch nicely after several hours travel by car. Highly recommend if a roomy comfortable cottage in a rural location is sought.

This is our best bach yet, although to describe it as a bach is not doing it justice as it is actually a full two bedroom house. It was fitted out with everything that anyone would need and was so clean and well looked after that it appeared almost brand new. The country setting is magical but it was only a short drive to Papamoa or the Mount. The hosts were great and our dog made friends with the resident dog called Zeus.
We would definately recommend this for anyone wanting to stay in Tauranga and we will definately be back ourselves.

We enjoyed our 4 day visit very much in this comfortable house. Everything is welcoming including Zeus the big dog with blue eyes who likes to cuddle. The hosts were most helpful with candles and torches when we experienced a power cut during new years eve.
We recommend this place and would look foreward to come back.

We were really impressed with this bach. Lovely place and area, and the hosts really went the extra mile. We had fresh eggs, butter and milk (among other things) which was a really thoughtful touch that you just don't normally get. The bach itself was very tidy and all in all we really enjoyed our two nights here. Thanks to the hosts for putting in such a great effort; can't give anything less than full marks for this one!
