We had a very comfortable one night stay. Shout out to Sienna at Reception for the lovely and efficient welcome when we first arrived (she was able to allow us to check in early, she asked why we were visiting and was knowledgeable). The next day we had breakfast and shout out to Purna, Alfie and the whole team. GREAT JOB. They all were crazy busy but so efficient and helpful. THANK YOU. oh and we didn't know how to use the room safe and 2 people kindly helped. Nothing was too much bother for anyone. THANK YOU and keep up the great service.

We had a friendly welcome and all of the staff gave excellent service. The room was a good size with a lovely high ceiling. The breakfast was delicious and of a high quality with plenty of staff available to help.
The main issue was that the room was above the front door so there was a lot of noise in the evening of people talking/shouting outside as there was a function on. There was also the noise of other guests outside the room in the middle of the night.
There was a slight issue with dinner being delayed due to a problem with the gas but staff went out of their way to ensure we were happy with the meal. The first dessert I ordered seemed to have been made with salt instead of sugar but the waitress quickly brought a different dessert.
We woul definitely use the hotel again due to the service provided and the friendliness of all staff.

We stayed for one night in the family room. This is our first time staying at Crown Plaza and it’s a lovely experience. The staff are very friendly there from the reception, bar and the restaurant. The only thing I might be critical is the Sauna. you have to go through the bar and lounge after you finish. So I feel like we have to dress properly afterwards. But overall it’s a lovely experience and we will definitely visit Crown Plaza in future

We stayed for one night in the family room. This is our first time staying at Crown Plaza and it’s a lovely experience. The staff are very friendly there from the reception, bar and the restaurant. It's great that old Hotels like this exist and Crowne have taken on its custody. However, a basic tenant of a hotel is that guests can get some sleep. In the case of this hotel it is severely impacted by the noise from the always busy dual carriage next to the property which the old sash windows cannot keep out. Each night i woke in the early hours to the noise and struggled to get back to sleep.
There's other areas for improvement around the hotel such as the water fountain not working on the gym and whist the breakfast is sufficient it's not yet to the high standards of other crowne plazas that i have stayed in.
The hotel location is a bit of of the way and a good 20-25 walk into the main city area and unfortunately takes you through a bit of a rough area.
Would i stay there again? Maybe. The place just needs a bit more 'love' showing towards it.

Really good hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Staff are excellent and the service was superb. We can also highly recommended the breakfast.
Only one issue really is that the sauna is self service so you would have to wait 20 minutes for it to warm up. Small complaint jn yhe scheme of things.

Lovely hotel, great staff and varied breakfast.
The only downfall was the bath and linked shower were tight and whilst I am tall k am very slim. Just not wide enough so showering was awkward.

First time here after many visits to Sheffield. It stands head and shoulders above some of the more popular and ‘trendy’ properties in the city.
If the quality is consistent (and I will be back to check), this hotel will be a no-brainer when I book Sheffield for future trips, business and pleasure

Had an excellent weekend stay at this hotel, it's an extremely clean and well kept hotel. As soon as I got there I was greeted by helpful, friendly staff on reception, it was very welcoming.
The room was very clean and well kept, the housekeeping staff are exceptional at what they do. There was nothing to critique in that regard at all, fantastic service all round.
I did not get to try the food in the hotel unfortunately, but the restaurant menu was extensive, and a surprising amount of meals were available for the out of hours menu too.
If there was anything on the slightly negative side, it would be the bed being not the most comfortable. There were plenty of pillows available, the mattress was a little on the hard side and that resulted in a poor night's sleep once or twice, but it certainly wasn't anything that ruined the experience at all.
All in all I would definitely stay here again, Crowne Plaza Sheffield would be the first choice of hotels for me.

The rooms are super cold as you enter. The staff took ages to attend to you. Nobody answered the phones for me to order room service, had to go all the way downstairs to reception and order for the food order to then be missing items. Breakfast was cold.
