The room was remodeled in a retro style. The carpet was soft. The bed was great. The pillows were lacking. The staff was great.
Breakfast was so so. I did like the microwavable sandwiches. I understand why the hotel doesn't cook from scratch. They were fully booked and people were leaving at 6 AM.
The only issue I had was nailing my head on the retro light fixture. I'm 6'4".

The hotel is ok. Staff was very nice. Our window didn't lock and the air conditioner rattles so loud we couldn't keep it on so the room got a little stuffy. Very clean ( the cleaner aroma was strong) and comfortable.

Pull through parking spaces available which made parking with camper easy. While the location of the hot tub in the center of the parking lot is quirky, it was clean and soothing after camping and hiking in the mountains.

Best bang for the buck in Salida. Staffing is limited but everyone I encountered was friendly and responsive.
Older hotel means the walls and ceilings are not sound proof so noise of other residents carries into your room.
Lots of construction workers stay here leaving cigarettes and beer cans in the parking lot but staff quickly cleaned them up every morning.
I didn’t use the workout area but it was clean and all the exercise equipment looked to be in good shape.
Room was small but clean and had recently been remodeled.
Hotel sits outside downtown Salida but it’s a quick and safe one mile walk or ride to downtown.

Nice rooms and a great staff! Lots of people partying in the parking lot and smoking pot though. It was noisy and kinda shady.

the breakfast is a clusterf…— the coffee station is jammed into an impossible cranny that creates impatience and chaos. Coffee should be easily accessible. Put other things ( waffle maker, toaster ect into that “closet”, and coffee out front. The apple juice tasted diluted and weak. Otherwise it’s OK.

Clean room and pretty quiet even with a lot of occupancy. Layout of the room was a bit tight. Not sure why hotels offer small coffee makers with tea bag sized coffee for them. Not worth the effort or the space that they take up in already cramped quarters.

The game room was great. My kids loved it and we played there until it closed. The only problem we had was our ac wouldnt cool any more than 75. But it wasnt even worth mentioning to front desk.

The hotel met our needs…price & location. The 1 issue we had, no fault to the hotel, is the electricity went out across the entire hotel & city of Salida, CO between 10:00-10:30 at night. The electricity had not been restored when we left about 8:30 in the morning

Everything was just fine. Very clean room and had a very comfortable bed. The only negative was that room was marketed as a mini-suite. It was one of the smallest rooms i ever stayed in. The bathroom was just barely big enough for a toilet and tub. There was a very uncomfortable couch that could seat 1. Nothing about the room had anything you could argue would qualify it as a suite. It felt pretty crowded for 2 of us.
That being said, the staff was very nice and helpful and the room seemed recently renovated and it was immaculate.
