Bed was a little too firm for my husband

If these people want to remodel this hotel, then close it down and do it. You should be ashamed of yourself to be associated with this hotel! The room was dark and dirty. There was a mattresses and recliners and end tables and lamps and what else in the hallway! The outside had old airconditioners units and tv's under the canopy, could not drive through it. The two smal round tables with two chairs each was not sufficient for the people there. Plus the breakfest was a joke! A danish in a package, This was such a dump. We should sue for false advertising!! It was not fit for even an over night. But...it is what I booked through you and after driving ten hous we needed a break. Should not have had to pay at all for this service!!

Manager was very nice and place was clean. Condition looked older and beds were comfortable but ours had a huge sinkhole in one side, maybe spring missing. If I were the owner I would put some money into the property and update anything that looks worn or has old holes in it where something was removed.

Super clean and quiet. In the middle of remodeling, so some clutter is OK, but an old toilet near an entrance is a bit off-putting.

This is a small independently run motel, With the folks who run it living there. Nothing unique or fancy. They had the AC turned off in the common areas on a humid day. Had to wait for the kids to go fetch dad to finish the check in process. The room itself was very basic with visibly tired furniture. The TV at first did not work but the Dad was able to fix it. They were obviously remodeling the downstair units as the hallway was packed with furniture etc. The price reflects what your going to experience.

We walked into our room which smelled musty. We requested another room. The owner was rude to us. Stating tbat we could leave and he would refund us. He stated that the room was not musty. The windows do not open. The beds felt damp. The owner said that he could come into the room to feel the beds. We checked in late and were too tired to go elsewhere. So we stayed. The bathroom had dust in the light fixture that was clumping. And the fan was loud. The TV turned on but there was no volume. There was something stuck in the USB ports on the alarm clock. It was black and tar like. It ruined two of my charger cords before I realized that it was there. I would maybe recommend this place to a person who cannot smell or taste. Or perhaps my worst enemy. It was gross. We will certainly not be back.

The Covered Bridge Inn is a modest property that could use a few upgrades like more electrical outlets for chargers. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and solicitous of me. The hallways and public areas are very clean as are the rooms. The towels are thick and bright white. I was in Winterset for a music festival, and it was nice to come back to a quiet place!
