Oceanfront room was Amazing!

The staff were wonderful, sadly Imperial Beach is not usable, and the restaurant needs renovations. Imperial Beach is struggling, and it shows. We had visited prior to Covid which is why we went back, we won't be back until the contaminated beach issue is resolved.

It was great solo experience.. Nice & comfy. I ask for an upgrade expecting to pay the difference and she gave me free upgrade to ocean view…😍 It was awesome, very much recommended

My stay here was beyond perfect. Tracy at the front desk was amazing and very accommodating to us. The room was beautiful, clean and the views were amazing. We definitely found a gem and will most definitely be returning for our next Get away trip.

Loved the hotel! The rooms were incredible and the food was great. But the area outside was fair. Including the beach being contaminated with sewage for the last 900 days and no one mentioning a word about it until we are there and in the water… thankfully not for long before a life guard came by and warned us all. Really not cool to allow folks to book a hotel on the beach without telling them of the water conditions and at the very least discounting the price.

Our stay was very pleasant, we stayed in the beachfront suite. It was very nice to have living room area with beach view. The space felt clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice as well, always a plus. The area around felt safe, we came back to hotel past midnight after a concert, valet greeted us, and no issues with safety with nearby streets. Overall, I had a great experience

I was excited to stay here as it was highly recommended by a friend. I’m sad to say i did not experience the same satisfying stay as my friend did. Upon arrival, we were directed to a room on the 3rd floor. My booking was for a partial ocean view but there was no ocean in site. There were gnats flying everywhere. Seemed like they were coming out of the vents. I called the front and he was gracious enough to find us another room. It was nearly midnight and my nephew and i were exhausted. We were directed to another room on the 4th floor. The AC was broken and the room was very humid. The cleanliness of the room was also questionable but it was very apparent the room was old. In the morning, i noticed there was no blow dryer in the restroom as well. I had to call downstairs to have one brought up. For the price I paid, i would never stay here again. This felt like a 3 or below star hotel. Very disappointed. The front desk staff are the only reason i gave an extra star. They are very friendly and attentive.

Sewage is dumped into the ocean from Tijuana. Signs are up on the beach not to swim. The water is disgusting from smell to overall look. So advertising of a beach front resort does not meet the expectations. When speaking with locals, this has been like this for over 40 years. So images of the resort have clearly been photoshopped. Constant military helicopters circling the beach and areas around. So safety, yes a concern. Room was not clean and carpets were disgusting. Service and staff were amazing. All front desk staff should be commended for their level of service. The venue needs help. But staff is. Ot one of them.

Best hotel I’ve stayed at on the ocean! We had room 311 looking right out at the ocean. We really enjoyed playing chess on the balcony! The restaurant was amazing and had great service! Ocean wasn’t swimmable because of a sewage spill but it didn’t take away from the amazing atmosphere of the hotel. The roof top open bar was very enjoyable as well! Would highly recommend and will be staying at again!
