We had an excellent stay. Location was good with plenty good dining opportunities at Central Embassy at the lower floors. Great outdoor area with pool as well. We are not so fond of breakfasts generally but here it was one of the days hightlight.

Fantastic rooms, great location and very nice pool.
Downsides: Gym is ok but not excellent (no rowing machine, no bench press or squats free weights).
Service by the pool could improve. Hard to find staff there at times.
Having stayed at Athenee, Kimpton, Shangrila and Sofitel among others I can say that this is a very good hotel, but I would prefer hotels with a more casual snd less stiff/formal ambience where you want to hang out and eat/drink/chill (such as Kimpton which has an awesome vibe)

Room was dirty so front desk offered to move rooms only to find out that the next 2 rooms that we checked for cleanliness were also dirty. Hotel staff was apologetic at first and then seemed to be very bothered when I expressed my dissatisfaction. Lost my dry cleaning for a full day, no one knew what I was even talking about. Got hung up on twice by front desk. The one redeeming quality of the hotel was Rose at breakfast... she was so sweet and attentive! I wanted to love the hotel but was very disappointed.
