Good city hotel, about 200m from the Abbey. The difference with this hotel was the hospitality of the staff, everyone was helpful and positive (including the cleaners and housekeepers). Yet everyone also took Corona very seriously, with facemasks everywhere and, of course, the check for the Certificate for entry to the breakfast room. Bedroom was a little echoey, thanks to the spartan internal design, but was comfortable. Very on trend, but may not be to everyone's taste... Breakfast was fine, some particularly good local cheeses available.

Great location. Staff were all very helpful. Buffet breakfast was good, with a wide choice. Limited parking spaces available at rear of hotel for CHF15 per night. Would recommend.

Great little coffee bar open 24hrs. Good breakfast. Courtyard view was quiet and I loved the balcony.

The Taxi that brought us from the train station to the hotel said that she did not accept cards - so the nice receptionist came out and cashed it for us since we only had card to pay with. Very nice staff! :) The hotel is very central, with walking distance to the train station and most of the things to see and be in St.gallen. Close to restaurants, shopping and culture. Nice rooms, with decent bed and a nice bathroom. Would stay here again.

The Dom seems to have everything going for it - friendly and obliging staff, very clean and modern, nice touches (e.g. quality toiletries) and a great location close to the old town & sites and a short walk from the station. The only reason it didn’t get top rating is that (as it says on the listing) many rooms have a shared bathroom (& toilet). How much of an inconvenience this will be depends on the individual, but it is easy to overlook when evaluating alternatives - and we regretted not going for a more expensive, en-suite option. Whilst the room might be cheap for the area, it seems expensive for a room lacking this essential amenity.

My bed was one of the least comfortable beds I've ever stayed in and my room was next to the communal bathroom so I was woken all night with people going to the bathroom.
