Hotel was nice, dated, but par with all the other hotels in the area We didn’t have running water in our room one day, so had to go without a shower one day before we left for the day. Beach, pool and bar was nice.

The pool was disgusting. Slimy and just not clean. Hotel needs complete renovation

I will definitely think twice before staying at this resort in the future. The positives: The location and beach access is great. The live music near the pool area is great. The not so good: We found multiple bugs in our room. The tv in the bedroom did not work. The tv in the living room area had cracks in the screen. We had issues with and noticed others have issues with the pool area attendants. The resort has a policy of not allowing coolers in the pool area, but they do allow them along the wall surrounding the pool area. When we were told of the policy of no coolers in pool area we moved our cooler along the wall but were told we couldn't put OUR cooler there because it was not by OUR room. After talking to front desk we were allowed to have cooler along the wall. We also noticed other guests have other issues with the same pool area attendant. Upon checkout we were not even asked how our stay was, just took the keys and said we were good to go. As a side note, front lobby area is currently under renovations, which i can understand, however they did not have very good signage guiding guests to new "lobby" area on 2nd floor. For these reasons, we will definitely THINK TWICE before staying at the Thunderbird Resort again.

My friend and I spent 4 nights in Treasure Island at the Thunderbird, and there were both pros and cons to the hotel. Pros: The location is awesome. We walked to many places every day, and the hotel seemed centrally located to many places of interest. The pool patio area was nice with music every single day, and in the evenings, the tiki bar was busy and nice. The employees in the lobby were very helpful and tried their best while being displaced to a temporary location to make everything run smoothly. I would definitely request a room facing the ocean rather than a pool view, as there is no balcony on those rooms and the noise would be noticeable. Cons: The room was extremely bad smelling when we arrived, to the point we bought several air fresheners and three different damp rid bags. That still didn't eliminate the smell, but did make it bearable. The room was extremely humid and damp, and no matter the things we did to help with this, it didn't seem to matter. The room was fairly clean, but the first day no one came in to clean our room, and a second day our room was not cleaned until 4:30 PM when we returned to get ready for the evening. In general, the hotel is older and needs some updating, but it was decent enough for a few nights. The rooms facing the pool did not have balconies, so the outdoor space for these rooms were in the general walkways; at times, these were impassable due to floats, extra chairs, and beach supplies sitting there.

I liked the live music, seating area was good for relaxing and very quiet at night which was nice. Front desk was very rude and snippy for everything. Was charged another $197 when I checked in and that was to use the pool, WiFi, beach, etc. I’ve never heard of such thing and never had an issue like that before. Everything was already paid in full and it included all amenities in my total price when booking months ago, as it should. I thought at first maybe it was a deposit and just needed a card on file in case of damages, cleaning, etc and I had asked if that’s what it was for but nope. Went down to ask for a paper that I had signed and they would not give it to me and told me I’m not allowed to see it or have it. Went down before checking out to get a coffee that is complimentary and supposedly offered 24/7 and I was trying to make a cup and the lady shouted and said that it was empty and she turned it off already. Parking is an absolute nightmare! Very limited and hard to get a parking spot. Could barely drive through the parking lot due to cars being parked in front of other cars and very tight squeeze. Pool was absolutely disgusting and was never once cleaned during the whole trip. Never got my receipt from checking out, which they asked if I wanted, I said yes. Other than the rude front desk staff and the dirty pool, it’s overall a good stay.

Stayed for the weekend. It was my cousins wedding and it beautiful. Loved everything.

The rooms were nice but they put me in a room right by the pool it was noisy and wet and slippery and unsafe and people were partying right outside my door. So they did move us and that room was better. The parking was terrible as well i will not gi back cause they cant garuntee that they would have a room away from this.

The pictures online do not do this property justice. The rooms are really dirty , the linens and towels are all dingy and look dirty all the time. The two pools are both very gross. Looks like snot and dirt floating in them and we’re not cleaned at all. This property is way over priced & I would not recommend a visit here.

Really liked the location, cleaness of the room, loved the live music, activities to do, bar area and the promptness of the staff responding and addressing my questions and issues. I did not like the size of the bathroom and that there is no ac/ventilation in the bathroom (unless you open the window but not ideally in the hot summer) Also, we were able to hear everything from the room next door, and when I say everything, I really mean everything. Pretty, rough at night and in the morning if you want sleep.

We loved that our suite was located in close proximity to the front desk and the small pool. Nice to have fresh fruit & good coffee in the lobby. Lots of choices for sitting under umbrellas and enjoying quiet time. Loved the walkway & the beach was perfect. Clean comfortable room and good ac!

If you're good with a no frills stay this is the place. We have been here twice, first visit we had a room on the 3rd floor. The elevator only goes to the 2nd floor so we had to carry our luggage to the 3rd floor. Second trip we had a suite on the 2nd floor, again no elevator because it was in the older building. On our first visit the service was better. The second visit we had to call several times before we got help. We didn't have maid service 3 out of 7 days and had to call multiple times before they had someone clean the room When we came back to our room there was no toilet paper and again it took 3 calls to get some. The pool area is great and the beach was wonderful.

the pool was dirty i had to clean it myself and several other patrians also helped.. the service it self was amazing with kenny who wasnt even in charge of cleaning our room. he brought us water and always got ua towels and other necessities

I was shocked that we did not have our room cleaned at all. Also, when we were in the pool, it was clear that someone threw up in it and nothing was being done about it. I was under the assumption that pools have to shut down if that occurs until they can get it cleaned.

Really enjoyed our time there.

Very retro on the outside, but the room was up to date and beautiful. Pool was salt water and clean. Room was clean, except the floors. Lots of sand on the floor at check in and they obviously had not been mopped. Front desk staff attentive and friendly. Very frustrating that the ice machines were for the bar only and the guest ice machine was in another part. It was ungodly hot and had no idea where the ice machine was. Water would not get cold in the room. Other than small things, it was worth the money and I would stay here again.

First time staying and it won’t be that last. Beautiful room with an amazing view.

Always love our stays at the thunderbird

Stay was great, although parking was a chore if you came back later in the evening. There didn’t seem to be enough spaces to accommodate all of the guest rooms. Other than that it was a great stay and the hotel is an excellent location to get out and see the Tampa-St. Pete area.

Great place great service!!

The Thunderbird was beautiful & very family friendly. I love how there are two pools & kids in one, adults in the other. The music was fantastic.

The location is excellent and the staff quite friendly. You can tell the age Is getting to it in the bathrooms and the areas close to the pool edge, but otherwise a nice place to stay.

I liked everything except there is a third party charge of 39 dollars that Orbitz did not make clear when I booked the property. Shadey on their part. Has nothing to do with the hotel. Just disappointed with Orbitz. Probably won't use Orbitz again and i used them quite frequently.

Before we came to staying, I would called first to verify my expectations. Although, staff’s wasn’t very friendly on the phone. Not just one time but every time we called. The phone in the room doesn’t work either. To get a room service to cleaned our room isn’t there.

Love the Thunderbird ❤️ Will keep coming back as it’s one of our Florida favorites. The beach 🏝️ is AMAZING!!!
