Things that could be improved: I was only there for 1 day, went to order a fresh juice and they didn’t have mangoes available which is a bit strange for a 5 star hotel in the Philippines. Also, the beach and pool are all covered in shade from 3pm which is a bit annoying (specially being only 1 day and check in being at 3pm) due to how tall the buildings of the hotel are and the direction of the sun (so if you want to make use of the pool/beach, the morning is your best option). Breakfast is not included so if you want you can reserve the day before so it’s cheaper rather than on the day, but they ask you to pay for it in advance which I found a bit weird? It’s is a good quality breakfast but extremely high price even for what it is. There’s also some construction going on by the beach which is a little frustrating due to noise and view. Please note the “sea view” room it’s a trap! You would have to book “ocean view” in order to actually have view to the beach! Got a free upgrade which was nice but annoying when I got there and was faced with a view to the next building and only a little bit of an actual sea view. The hotel massage service/spa is an absolute rip off - there’s a really nice spa right outside the hotel 1 min walk instead. Sunrise from balcony of ocean view is top!

This place was amazing, the wife and I had a great time and the staff is so friendly. Lester was the absolute best and started each day with us at breakfast and was a such a pleasure to see. Bar could use some stronger drinks but overall very pleased!

The staff was absolutely incredible. Very kind and attentive. Lester in particular was awesome. Him and the staff made the stay a very easy 10/10. If you're looking to stay on the island, this is definitely a top choice. Will stay here again.

Amazing stay to relax on a quiet beach with newly remodeled rooms. Delicious breakfast buffet and evening meals where wonderful. We will miss the staff that greeted us with smiles and assisted in every fashion. We would highly recommend!!!

Extremely beautiful place and friendly staff. Thanks to Jerry for getting out of his way to help us with our other issues ( we need new lock for our luggage)Of course to the general manager Simon and Giovanni who’s always checking on every guest to make sure they are okay. We hope we can go back there again and explore other places

All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The spa was excellent. Sadly the property is very old - needs to be renovated. My airconditioning wasn’t working properly- does not get to max cold. Maintenance came 2x but still it wasn’t working. Given a mist/cooler but it was too noisy. Bathroom does not have a bidet or the water source beside the toilet. Really needs to be upgraded.

The best service and the friendliest staff anywhere on Mactan Island. Clean Rooms great pool and beach area and as previously mentioned the best staff ever! I will definitely be staying there again.

Eric from guest service outstanding. Rochelle the captain waiter is wonderful. Lester is wonderful. Its wonderful to have found this place and i will be coming back.

What makes the Mövenpick extraordinary is the staff, I travel a lot and stay at many very nice establishments, in this case it was not as much as the place being the star as the staff. Raymond, Noel, Janice, Rochelle, Gabriel & Giovanni were the kindest most polite attentive members of staff i have ever encountered during my travels. The smiles and conversation were above and beyond. there are also some others at the front desk and spa that i can't remember the names of that did a stellar job. If i had one off note i would have loved to see Ibeza in all its glory sana all it returns. walking distance to so many places and the breakfast and food was amazing!

Nice location of the hotel which is a previous Hilton one. swimming pool and small garden setup. Also nice small beach with imported sand. Not many guest so hotel was very silent in all aspects. Thus the service of all functions were excellent, professional and friendly. Food was very good - breakfast buffet with easily ordered tailor made omelette and all selections of Asian and international dishes. Sandwich at the beach was huge and could feed a whole family. Dinner in bar and restaurant also very good. Walking distance to Magellan's Marker (15 min) and Newtown (30 min). Ferry to Olango Island very closeby. Taxi ride to Cebu City 45-60 minutes for 300-400 pesos. Airport 15-30 minutes with taxi. Had a room with balcony - nice sea view and perfect to sea sunrise. In the afternoon both the swimming pool and beach get into shadow.

The entire resort staff was very friendly and attentive. This is a beautiful property. I especially enjoyed the spa and its staff. Niya, Aiza, Jan, Analyn, Evelyn and Rose who was amazing. Will stay again during next visit to Cebu.
