I was walking St Francis Way and stopped at Gubbio. A beautiful small city on the walk to Assisi. The hotel is excellent and the accommodations are superb. Breakfast is also superb. Nothing to complaint about.

Gubbio is fantastic, and this seems to be the best place to stay as it’s very comfortable and close to the public parking. The only problem is the nearby bells that ring loudly every 15 minutes, throughout the night.

A bit far and +200 ft climb to the town main plaza where most restaurants are. Noises from the hotel restaurant can be heard in our room.

Some staff spoke little or no English / yes it is Italy 🇮🇹 but one was incredibly helpful when I need assistance from Europcar- good luck if you don’t speak Italian - and yes I eventually just paid to have car repaired after 2 days of non assistance. Nice little hotel once you get there but no parking near the hotel so either pay 8 Euros a day nearby or free a bit further and hopefully your car will be there in the morning- bkfst ok and in the room charge. Overall quirky but charming

The staff went above and beyond! My husband had a crown fall out, within 5 minutes a staff member had called and walked to a dentist. They re-cemented his tooth and we were back in our room within 20 minutes!! Thank you to Hotel Gattapone for a disaster averted.
