We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at San Lino. The reception staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. All areas were spotlessly clean as was our room which was cleaned daily. Our room size was good and had good air conditioning. Breakfast was basic but good. It also offered some locally produced food. Breakfast staff were attentive and friendly. The pool area was private and nicely laid out. If visiting Volterra I would highly recommend San Lino hotel.

Our room size was good and had good air conditioning. Breakfast was basic but good. It also offered some locally produced food. Breakfast staff were attentive and friendly. The pool area was private and nicely laid out. If visiting Volterra I would highly recommend San Lino hotel.

It is inside the walls of the city and has a nice pool and terrace, but the room was outdated and the bathroom smelled.

On night stay and very convenient as within the walls of old town and had own garage 30 meters from hotel@ EUR 12. Receptionist (Dorothy I think) excellent. Budget room fin but bed a bit firm for me. Great shower. View was if neighbours garden . Breakfast room and outdoor area lovely. Choice more European but all great.

Enjoyed our stay. Good hotel, a bit dated rooms - showers quite small. Included breakfast was average - nothing wrong with average! Just not quite the quality of other 4 stars I have stayed at. A very good average hotel.

I loved this place it's not a fancy big hotel but quite small with small rooms and a private pool . Breakfast was a treat think of a bed and breakfast in a medieval town . It is in the city walls so you can pay extra for parking and have access to the city center . If you want big and fancy this may not be for you ❣️friendly staff clean and efficient I was truly impressed and had a great experience ☺️

Unique stay in a former convent. Small but comfortable rooms. Staff went out of their way to offer assistance. Volterra is a lovely town too!

The garden, patio and pool (not open in October) were beautiful.

The beds are very firm, like sleeping on a rock. They need a topper. Breakfast is poor.
Woman is reception was very helpful and serviceminded. Parking is close!

Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. We didn’t understand that we had to reserve parking ahead of time, but we’re able to get a parking space after the first night. We found that the room wasn’t very comfortable and there were insufficient plugs to charge our phones. We had to unplug lights in order to
Charge the phones. Not a big deal, but it made the room too dark to read in the evenings.

We had a superior double room with a balcony. Beautiful view from the balcony of the towers of Volterra and the stunning surrounding hills and valleys. Paying for the parking garage is highly recommended and saves hiking up from the city parking lots which all seem to be below the Centro Storico. Room furnishings were a bit basic for the price, but staff was very nice and breakfast was good. Perfectly located inside town. Overall highly recommended.
