We are a party of 6 that stayed in 3 Junior Suites. Rooms are nice and service is good. Property urgently needs updating and repairs. According to the information displayed in Expedia, Breakfast was supposed to be free but, the hotel staff said that it was not included in the rate. So we had no complimentary breakfast.

Room was excellent and the property was beautiful. Perhaps the best resort I've stayed at in Costa Rica. My only complaint was that service was slow. Check in took forever. Service at the pool bar was painfully slow.

Really a nice hotel. The pool was exceptional. The counter staff that I interfaced with or knowledgeable, efficient and very friendly, certainly customer orientated individuals work at this place

The property is nice but need to be updated a little. The pool is amazing they have a game room cool restaurant is open 24 hours. Breakfast is the same everyday. The hotel is like a 10 min walk to Jaco Way and the beach

Not a 4 stars hotel, most likely a 3 stars. Is limited, prices are affourdable, pool is open til 5am in the morning, music must go down by 10 pm. Parking is limited.

It was clean and nice but a little out of date. Definitely liked that they were pet friendly. Only bad thing was no internet in the room we stayed in at the back of the facility. Restaurant is fantastic.

The power and water were both off for several hours on Friday. No compensation of any sort was offered. We were forced to go to a bar so we would not have to sit in our room in the dark

Hotel Amapola is a great place over Jaco Beach. Just perfect for families with small kids. The pool is great and it has amenities for the small ones and for adults. Rooms are excellent and just in front of the pool. Mexican restaurant beside the hotel is great! Ask for the Tacos for Share (pa’ compartir)

We were stuck in a room furthest from the pool & restaurant. The room needed some serious updating & maintenance. The bed was on par with a rock and the pillows weren't much better. The casino wasn't operating, nor was the Italian restaurant. We asked if we could use the bicycles parked near reception - the lady just said "No." Linens def not Egyptian cotton! Towels were something handed down from a Motel 6.
The the good side - the employees were quite friendly & helpful, the pool was very clean, and the location is decent. We felt safe walking to restaurants & the beach.
The maid went above & beyond to clean what appeared to be black mold off the shower ceiling. The A/C worked great. Being in the back of the property, we had a cute little mini-super right outside the gate. The free breakfast was good, made to order & very quickly. However, the 'orange juice' tasted more like Sunny D.
