The hotel is in a great location, close to everything you may need and places you want to see within walking distance, the property itself needs updating and need to be more thoughtful for furniture and shelves in the bathrooms for guest to use. The staff is very attentive and helpful. You get what you paid for but it would be nice if someone really thought it out a bit more pleasant stay for guests.

When I was going to check-in to Hotel Gran Centenario the front lady told me that the hotel no longer had room for us at that hotel and had sent us to another hotel which I had to pay extra to Taxi to get to for not informing the client ahead of time. Very dissatisfied with the check in service at the hotel because I reserved for the original hotel not to be sent to another hotel 3 blocks down. Other than the service at the new hotel that I was sent to called Hotel Flamingo was very friendly, clean and nice.

The bathroom was not clean and even though we reported it, they never get to clean it. Besides that, our experience was ok.

Air conditioner started to leak water onto bed. Hotel would not move me to other room although hotel has rooms available. First problem was I paid for double beds and only received 1 bed

The accommodations are simple but clean (and the AC functioned well), and the staff is friendly and helpful. My room had no phone but they let me use the front desk phone for local calls.

El estacionamiento es de 8 PM a 8 AM solamente. Debia de decirse en la descripcion del Hotel. Parking is only 8 PM to 8 AM. It should be mentioned in the Hotel description.

The air-condition did not work and the pool was really dirty the first day and closed the second day, but the price and location is good.

I chose this hotel because of price, location and the unique feature of allowing my whole family of 5 to stay in the same room. The room was exactly as pictured in hotels.com, 3 queen beds in one room with bathroom. A plus was the really cold AC. Despite the height of the room, the AC cooled very well and it made it pleasant to come in from the heat outside. The only thing against the room is the fact that you can hear everything going on in the bathroom so some reserved going no. 2 to restaurant bathrooms instead, hehe. Also, bear in mind, no elevator to this room. We were there 2 nights for a wedding, it served us well, service was polite and the price was great. Oh! By the way, you are right across the street from the most famous restaurant in Merida! The Chaya Maya, so enjoy breakfast there... no need to have it included in the hotel. Plenty of restaurants to choose from within walking distance.

There were stains on the sheets, pillows and towels. We tried to ask for new sheets but were told the cleaners had left for the day, eventually we managed to get some when we told them we could make the bed ourselves. We also had problems with mosquitos so if you chose to drag here make sure you bring some repellent.

Simple Basic hotel right in the middle of all of the action in Merida. The location is excellent, but the Wifi was non existent even though we asked the front desk about it and they said it was working. There was also no hot water and lots of mosquitos in the room. Upon arrival there were no towels in the room and we had to ask for towels which was no problem and we were given some immediately. The air conditioner worked well. If you are ok with no hot water and no wifi, this is an ok place to stay because the location is so good.
