We stayed here for 5 days. The staff were amazing and so friendly. We enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable. The public bath was clean and was not busy during our stay. The area was close to a train station which was helpful in getting around Kyoto. The real highlight was how attentive the staff were to our needs and how kind they all were. We loved the uniqueness of the property and were very glad we stayed.

The tatami mat beds were very comfortable but in a few years I do not think I could get up and down easily. The room did have four chairs but there were five of us. I enjoyed the Onsen bath experience and the Japanese breakfast. Great location, close to a few local restaurants and family mart. Walkable to Ginza District.

The room was so beautiful and comfortable, and our view of the garden was just stunning. We couldn't get over it. The onsen was great, and it ended up being empty so it was nice to enjoy it privately. The kaiseki dinner was absolutely fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. We opted to get a couples massage, which was a really great price and extremely relaxing. The futon beds were so dreamy and cozy. The Japanese style breakfast was so delicious. We've never experienced such amazing hospitality before and we were so sad to leave. It really felt like home here. We really hope to come here again one day!

We stayed here a night and everyone was so friendly and willing to help. They go above and beyond making sure you have the best stay. The food was great and the sleeping mats were so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

The place had great vibes from the old style decoration, paper panel doors, small garden and shared bathhouse for an authentic Japanese ryokan experience. Our room attendant was super sweet and explained all the kaiseiki and Japanese breakfast that we were served. The staff were all super attentive and kind. Overall it was a great place to stay for two nights.

Our room had 2 western style beds and our 3rd guest slept on futon, but all were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this ryokan to everyone who would like to experience a traditional ryokan in Kyoto.

This was an amazing experience, everyone was amazing and accommodating. Our room attendant was very sweet and we had a wonderful view of the garden. This Ryokan is also a very short walk to many important shrines. Highly recommend.
