Beware the connecting doors to the next room, they have zero value as a noise insulator and it feels like you are staying with your neighbors as they hear you and you hear them, even at toilet time. Staff is not as friendly as at most other establishments in Yogyakarta and it can feel a bit uncomfortable, oddly enough.

We chose to stay at Duta Garden because it's away from the craziness of Malioboro but still easy to get around to the tourist attractions in the city. We got upgraded to the garden villa and it was beautiful! The villas are surrounded by fish ponds and greeneries, the room was spacious yet comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and it felt like home!

Hotel is great. Staff friendly. Breakfast dreadful - go somewhere else. Needs new towels in rooms.

Great little gem off a backroad/alley in Yogakarta. Beautiful outdoor gardens, pools, waterfalls koi fish, you name it. It was a great and tranquil way to unwind from jet lag and get prepared for a 2-week long bike tour through Java and Bali. An easy way to the kraton and markets. A nice breakfast too with local and Western options.

Loved this place - I got an extra special room for a regular price, just because it was overbooked, but I think I would have loved it just as much with the other room, or paying the full price. I just loved everything about the room - classic, like from another time. Comfortable and gracious and spacious. But even better were the grounds - so green and lush and alive, for limited space. Koi pond right by my patio, waterfalls and swimming pool and more streams and ponds and greenery. Really pretty amazing. I just loved it. And it turned out to be right in the heart of the 'travelers' district in Yogyakarta - very convenient, though you'd never believe you were in the heart of the city. Wifi, super friendly staff, they made us breakfast to take to the airport since our flight left before the restaurant open. Need I go on?

Hotel is located on internal road and not on the main road which was surprising for me. Good hotel in case you just want to relax. However a bit far from tourist locations. Hotel landscaping is good with trees however it invited mosquito in my room. I requested hotel staff and then they sprayed Mosquito repellent in the room. So be prepared for those uninvited guests.

We stayed for 2 nighs and really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room is clean and environment was very relaxing and peaceful. The garden was very well kept and welcoming. Hey !! They have 2 swimming pools. Be sure to bring your swimsuit if you are going to stay here !!! We enjoy a very refreshing dip in the morning and it was very invigorating !! The buffet breakfast is adequate but could be improved with different menu everyday. As we enjoy local fruits, we hope they will equip the rooms with a mini fridge. The hotel staff are friendly and rather helpful and are quite knowledgeable or interesting places to visit. We will definitely return to this hotel again !!!

This is a very pretty garden with comfortable facilities in a budget conscious setting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay and would book here again if we are back to Jogjar.
